Prince Alfonso of the Two Sicilies, Count of Caserta (28 March 1841 – 26 May 1934) was a son of King Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies and was awarded the title Count of Caserta.



Marriage[edit]

He married Princess Maria Antonietta of the Bourbon-Two Sicilies in Rome on 8 June 1868. She was a daughter of Prince Francis of the Two Sicilies, Count of Trapani and his wife Archduchess Maria Isabella of Austria.

Issue[edit]

  1. Prince Ferdinand Pius of the Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria (25 July 1869 – 17 January 1960) married Princess Maria Ludwiga Theresia of Bavaria and had children.
  2. Prince Carlo of the Two Sicilies (10 November 1870 – 11 November 1949) married (1) Mercedes, Princess of Asturias and had children. Married (2) Princess Louise of Orléans and had children.
  3. Prince Francesco di Paola of the Two Sicilies (14 July 1873 – 26 June 1876)
  4. Princess Maria Immaculata of the Two Sicilies (30 October 1874 – 28 November 1947) married Prince Johann Georg o Saxony but had no children.
  5. Princess Maria Cristina of the Two Sicilies (10 April 1877 – 4 October 1947) married Archduke Peter Ferdinand, Prince of Tuscany and had children.
  6. Princess Maria di Grazia of the Two Sicilies (12 August 1878 – 20 June 1973) married Prince Luiz of Orléans-Braganza, and had children.
  7. Princess Maria Giuseppina of the Two Sicilies (25 February 1880 – 22 Julie 1971)
  8. Prince Gennaro of the Two Sicilies (24 January 1882 – 11 April 1944) married Beatrice Bordessa, Countess of Villa Colli but had no children.
  9. Prince Ranieri of the Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro (1883–1973) married Countess Maria Carolina Zamoyska, daughter of Count Andrzej Przemysław Zamoyski and had children.
  10. Prince Filippo of the Two Sicilies (10 December 1885 – 9 March 1949) married Princess Marie Louise of Orléans and had children. Remarried (2) Odette Labori but had no children.
  11. Prince Francesco d'Assisi of the Two Sicilies (13 January 1888 – 26 March 1914)
  12. Prince Gabriele of the Two Sicilies (1 January 1897 – 22 October 1975) married Princess Malgorzata Izabella Czartoryska and had children.
