About the Show

Academy Award®–winning screenwriter Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester by the Sea) brings a fresh take to E.M. Forster’s classic novel with an adaptation starring Matthew Macfadyen and Hayley Atwell. Howards End is a portrait of two imaginative and life-loving sisters in Edwardian England as they develop relationships within both the upper and lower classes. “This adaptation focuses on ideas and people, and that is what makes it so bold,” says The Guardian (UK).

Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) as self-made businessman Henry Wilcox and Hayley Atwell (The Long Song) as Margaret Schlegel, the intelligent and idealistic woman whom he courts, are joined by Philippa Coulthard (The Catch) as passionate and capricious sister Helen Schlegel, Tracey Ullman (The Tracey Ullman Show) as interfering Aunt Juley, who tries to keep the Schlegel ladies and their brother Tibby (Alex Lawther, The Imitation Game) on the straight and narrow.
