Another strange year has officially come to a close, and what better way to ring in 2022 than by tuning into the 50th annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show?

Ryan Seacrest will return for his 17th year as host of the main event, which will welcome back tourists after ringing in 2021 with an empty Times Square. This year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve telecast will span four cities, featuring performances from some of the biggest names in music and the reveal of 2022’s first Powerball millionaire. It’s the most ambitious countdown yet!

WHAT TIME IS DICK CLARK’S NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE?

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest kicks off this Friday, Dec. 31 at 8/7c. The broadcast will continue until Friday, Jan. 1 at 2 AM ET.

WHO IS PERFORMING FOR DICK CLARK’S NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE?

Seacrest will be joined by co-host Liza Koshy in Times Square. Meanwhile, Billy Porter will co-host live from New Orleans, Ciara will host the Los Angeles event with DJ D-Nice, and Roselyn Sanchez will host from Puerto Rico (which will be home to the show’s first Spanish-language countdown).

Jessie James Decker will also return as Powerball correspondent to announce Powerball’s first 2022 millionaire once the clock strikes midnight.

As if that wasn’t enough, loads of A-list stars are set to perform on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. From Los Angeles, the performances will include AJR, Avril Lavigne, Big Boi, Don Omar, French Montana, Macklemore, Rockers Måneskin, Mae Muller, Masked Wolf, OneRepublic, and Walker Hayes.

Times Square performances include Journey and KAROL G, who will kick off the night’s festivities. Although LL COOL J and Chlöe were originally scheduled to perform in New York, both have cancelled their performances. LL COOL J pulled out after testing positive for COVID-19, while no further details about Chlöe’s exit have been revealed just yet.
