Diego Loyzaga Transformation

Diego Loyzaga has certainly superb artistry running in his genes.

Having Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga as his parents must be a telling fact, given that he has inherited their incredible talent, which he continues to show in his continuing evolution as an actor.

As we see in this episode of PUSH Evolution, Diego first made his breakthrough performance as an impressive teen newcomer, playing Derrick Gonzales, on the primetime remake of the iconic teleserye Mara Clara in 2011 with Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. 

After that stint, Diego then reunited with Kathryn and Julia in the youth-oriented afternoon series Growing Up  that same year as Jason Rivero.

Two years after, Diego then metamorphosed into being a VJ for the music channel MYX, proving his versatility. Then he resumed his acting journey landing a role in the Liza Soberano-Enrique Gil starrer Forevermore in 2015 in a riveting performance as Jay Fernandez. Later that year, Diego became part of yet another grand remake, the 2015 version of the 2000 teleserye classic Pangako Sa Yo as David San Luis. 

From 2016 to 2017, Diego appeared in several episodes of the longest running drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya, including “Pasa,” “Hardinero,” “Pantalan,” and “Cellphone.”

But in 2017, Diego scored his first lead role opposite Sofia Andres in the afternoon drama Pusong Ligaw, as Rafael Cervantes that became the talk of the town. 

He also became part of the legal drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo, portraying the part of Mikoy in the episode “Sumpaan” in 2018.

His most recent teleserye appearance was in the 2018 drama Precious Hearts Romances Presents Los Bastardos, wherein he played the role of the ill-fated Joaquin Cardinal, a good and amiable sibling of the Cardinal brothers.

By 2020, Diego made an Instagram post announcing he was taking a break from social media for about a year and a half. During the pandemic, however, he was still active on Twitter, detailing his fitness routines throughout the community quarantine, and informing his followers about important facts about COVID-19. Diego has also gotten into the video sharing wave, promoting his accounts on YouTube and TikTok.  

With Diego’s impeccable talent and acting prowess, we really can’t wait seeing him again onscreen.
