Aura (formerly known as "Enhancement") is an ability that allows the user to coat a certain body part in black armor, improving the user's damage and defense, and allows the user to bypass Elemental fruits’ elemental reflex.

Aura is cheap, easily obtainable, and especially useful, so it is recommended that players get it as soon as possible. To activate/deactivate Aura, the user must press the [J] key (down on D-pad for the console or button labeled Aura on mobile).

Obtainment[]

Aura can be bought MoneyIcon 25,000 from the Ability Teacher, in First Sea.

Leveling[]

Aura has an EXP system that allows it to be leveled up. There are three ways of gaining Aura experience (each gives +1 Aura EXP per action):

  1. Damaging any enemies while having Aura activated, including NPCs, players, and Bosses using any sword, gun, melee weapon, or fighting style. This does not work with Blox Fruit moves.
  2. Activating Aura.
  3. Getting hit while having Aura activated (does not work if the user has Elemental Reflex).

The user's Aura will progress through five stages, each supplying visual changes and buffs to the ability. However, it will not notify the player when it progresses; the only way for the user to know when their Aura progresses is to try changing their Aura stage by talking to the Aura Editor to see if it allows them to change the look of their Aura to the next stage.

Upon reaching stage 5, the user will be rewarded with the title: Iron Man #068 and will be able to change their aura's color (it is given only when the player's aura is next turned on). These Aura Colors can be bought from the Master of Auras, the player must have stage 5, but the Aura does not have to have maximum EXP. Aura colors can be changed via the Colors Specialist NPC, where they can also be bought with Robux.

Stages[]

Stages display differently depending on the player's fighting style. If the player is using Dark Step or Death Step, their aura advancements begin at the legs rather than the arms.

Stage Visual Aura (Arm FS/ Leg FS) Buffs EXP needed
0 Lower arms/legs. Increases player's damage on non-fruit attacks by 10% 0 EXP
1 Full arms/legs. Increases player's damage on non-fruit attacks by 21% (stage 0 buff * 1.1) 4,000 EXP
2 Full arms/legs and upper torso. Decreases all damage meant to be taken by 10% before subtracting it from the player's health. 12,000 EXP
3 Full arms/legs, upper torso and head. Decreases all damage meant to be taken by roughly 18% (stage 2 buff * 9%) before subtracting it from the player's health. 24,000 EXP
4 Full arms/legs, full torso, head, & upper legs/arms. Decreases all damage meant to be taken by roughly 25% (stage 3 buff * 8%) before subtracting it from the player's health. 48,000 EXP
5 Full body. Decreases all damage meant to be taken by roughly 30% (stage 4 buff * 7%) before subtracting it from the player's health. 60,000 EXP

Note: Once the user has unlocked a certain stage, changing the user's Aura's visual appearance will not cause the buffs of the said stage to disappear. It purely changes the visual effect.

Notes[]

  • 1 hit on an NPC or player equals 1 EXP.
    • If the user has Dark Step, they can use the ability “Breakdance” or "Barrage" for a lot of hits, which gives a lot of Aura EXP.
  • On stages 3, 4 and 5 damage boosts from stage 1 remain.
  • Aura is one of the most important utilities to obtain in-game, as without it, the player won't be able to damage Elemental Fruit users (this includes NPCs).
  • If the user is an elemental fruit user, the best way to level up Aura is to auto-click using a low-damage sword and standing near NPCs the player is immune to. However, if the user is not an elemental fruit user, the best way is to go to the Marine Starter Island, and then gather all the trainees, go to the corner of a stair, and keep getting hit by the trainees. To make sure that the user won't be able to get knocked out, they can hold the [W] key and open chat to stay on the corner.
  • It is recommended to use Buddha when leveling up Aura, as it encourages the use of fighting styles and swords, a main source of gaining Aura EXP.
  • If the user uses Aura on a fruit sword (ex: Light's Spear, Ice's Trident), it will not contribute to the Aura progression. Only using Fighting styles, Swords and Guns will grant the player Aura EXP.

Trivia[]

  • The Aura outline on weapons do not appear on mobile.
  • Most Swords will change their color when a colored Aura is active, based on its color.
    • Some Swords' visual designs are also affected by Aura. (ex: Tushita, True Triple Katana, and all swords required to obtain such swords)
    • Some Swords, when transformed with [Z] Buddha will not have the Aura effect.
  • Light's Spear visual is affected by Aura.
    • Ice's Trident is also affected; however, the user must have an Aura Color. This will only affect the outline of the trident, not the entire trident.
