I have a Blackberry Curve 8250 that was handed to me to fix. It was completely broken, screen cracked with water damage etc. I have replaced the screen and it now turns on.
It comes up with an "Uncaught Exception Index 3=>3" Error. I read it up and apparently its due to a faulty app. After a short while the screen goes blank and an "App Error 523" appears. I go to reset it and the whole cycle repeats. As I cannot get past both screens to perform a factory reset or any deletion of apps I am stuck.

I think the best think to do would be to somehow reset the phone, erasing everything including the OS and installing a new OS from scratch.

Problem is I have no idea how to do this. I'm not a Blackberry users therefore unfamiliar with its hacking.

It's good you were able to 'revive' the berry.

"Uncaught Exception Index 3=>3" I have the same thing when mine starts up but runs fine after that. I just want to know what app it is though. :/
