What travelers are saying
- Mary CAda, MI302 contributionsA nice walk down to the viewing area. Not as fun going back which was mostly uphill.... but the walk (both ways) was worth it as the views were incredible! Some areas have rails, others don't - be aware if you have children with you.Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Becky G18 contributionsThe chapel is beautiful! There is time to sit and pray or reflect in the chapel. The gift shop has some local artist finds at reasonable prices. The view from the chapel is amazing.Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NinaSLongIslandPort Washington North, NY25 contributionsGot there in the nick of time to get the audio tour (please note the last time they will allow you to take the one hour audio tour is at 4pm promptly)! The audio tour is set up to go through your phone. You get excellent instructions on where to walk, where to sit/stand, and what to observe. It was very informative and the house and grounds itself were fascinating. FLW was so thoughtful on how he used the local elements and the environment to create not just a pleasing looking living space, but one that is functional and in harmony with the local surroundings. Oh, and the gift show was excellent too! Beautiful earrings, jewelry, sculptures etc not just from FLW but from artists inspired by him.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A MUST VISITWritten May 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you run or bike the trails (one leading to this place) are enjoyable as well. There are a few bars/restaurants open late with music so fun hang out at night.Written May 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan HTacoma, WA3,825 contributionsThis is a must do if you are in the Sedona area. The drive is one of the most beautiful drives I have ever done. If you get a chance, drive it both ways as the views are so different. There are viewpoints along the way and worth a stop. Nature at its most impressive!Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ted CMesa, AZ235 contributionsGreat day trip from Phoenix. See the 5 different ecosystems as you ascend the 27 miles up to the top of Mt Lemmon. Several places to stop with wonderful views. BBQ lunch at the Sawmill Run restaurant was excellent. We stopped at the Riparian area of Sabino Canyon and that was also a treat, wadding thru the creek. Highly recommended.Written May 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tippegirl2Tippecanoe, IN289 contributionsPlan this into your vacation. A must see. Here you will see the remnants of the castle (apartment building) built into a cave which held 20 rooms. Multiple families lived here. They used ladders to get up to the cave. Very well preserved. A short nice walkway takes you to the ruins. You are not able to get close but there is no reason to. You can view it clearly from the path. On a time restraint? If you had to you can do this in 15 minutes.Written May 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mary CAda, MI302 contributionsA very interesting place to visit. The loop drive brought me to many interesting places. I liked the blowhole the best if I had to choose one thing.

- Laurie KWest Seneca, NY705 contributionsMy husband and I were in town for vacation so we decided to get tickets for the baseball game. I ordered them right from the box office and they were cheaper than stub hub, or vivid seats which was weird, not as many fees. We also went online to purchase a parking spot which was only $20 which was pretty cheap for a bigger city. We parked 2 blocks away which was fine as it was a day game.
I was so excited I was going to get to soak in the sun for 3+ hours and enjoy the day and the game…..NOT, the information guy told me they usually only have the roof open for night games and if it is going to be open it will be open before anyone arrives at the stadium for game time. He said most day games get too hot inside the stadium with the roof open, so I understood.
We had great seats on the first baseline, but people are ignorant…..our section was playing musical chairs and they were more interested in visiting with friends getting up moving around going to get food etc than in the game so we moved over 2 sections sat in the last row, had a way better view and the fans near us watched the game……
The stadium is very nice, super clean great choice of food and beverages and we liked the live DJ pre- game. We had a good time was a decent game even though the Dbacks lost.
Would recommend if in the area and you love the game of baseballWritten April 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The loop road brings you to Sunset Crater and Wupatki, highly recommend taking it. Water is a good idea.Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Have Camera, Will TravelSouth Bend, IN3,577 contributionsThe view is epic, but it is also the busiest as it is the closest overlook to the main parking area. It is the first canyon view for the majority of the people coming to the park. Get on a bus and spread out a bit to see the different overlooks. It's all amazing.Written May 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mary CAda, MI302 contributionsCame in the east entrance late in the day and camped at Desert View Campground. Got my first glimpse of the Grand Canyon in 35 years from Desert View and saw a great sunset. Saw a great sunrise the next morning, then left early from the campground and stopped at all the viewpoints on the Desert View Drive. Got to Grand Canyon Village and looked around the visitor center, then some of the viewpoints more centrally located. Took the walk from the geology museum, saw some of the historic buildings, and took the shuttle back to the area my car was parked in. Did not take the shuttle out to Hermit's Rest on this trip due to time constraints, but felt I got a good look at the Canyon from what I did see. I hope not to have to wait 35 more years for another trip here!Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PeppersmomUnited States5 contributionsThis mine tour is very educational. You will go deep into the mine on a train. It features a middle bench that must be straddled to sit. Safety equipment is provided. Our tour guide was very good at explaining the workings of the mine and patiently answered all questions.Written May 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
