How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The fantastic voice, heart and soul of SMALL FACES and HUMBLE PIE surprisingly travels through the electronic jungle to take a crack at an interesting and diverse set of cover material. And while the results are only slightly above average, his readings of the FLEETWOOD MAC'S classic "Oh Well", and the mid '60's R & B dance hit "The Clapping Song" are great fun. Also, his takes on the TALKING HEADS "Life During Wartime" and CURTIS MAYFIELD'S (IMPRESSIONS) sultry "Gypsy Woman" show the incredible range of emotion and passion for which he was always capable. A treasured discovery for any Marriott fan!

Steve Marriott is one of my favorite singers, and on this album, his voice is in fine form. However, as good as his voice is, it cannot save this album. It's very 80's, and it's full of what I like the least about the 80's- tons of electronically programmed drums and synth sounds. I would buy the album again, if it was ever re-done with a proper band playing behind him minus the cheesy synth sounds. This album is also an album of covers, kind of odd choices too. As big of a Steve Marriott fan that I am, this one is close to being my least favorite of his catalog. One listen every few years is more than enough for me.

Not very good. I bought after hearing one of the cuts on Deep Tracks and being a Marriott fan from Small Faces Ogden Nutgone Flakes and Itchycoo Park and humble pie times.
Don't bother with this one.

Brilliance album. Hadn't heard it on initial release. Avid Marriot fan, so really glad I found this. Highly recommended.

Late release from Steve Marriatt

Recently read a biography of Steve in which this album was mentioned. Having bought it I was very pleased with the purchase. It revealed a new side to the artist and had a good range of different songs. It hints strongly of the true roots that shaped Steve's attitude to music and his roots.

落ち着いた佳作
Reviewed in Japan 🇯🇵 on May 9, 2012
