Official Live 'Leg a.k.a. The Official Live Bootleg is a one-sided live promotional LP by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers issued by Shelter Records in 1977. It was recorded at one of the bands' earliest gigs, opening for Al Kooper at Paul's Mall in Boston on December 12, 1976.
A remastered vinyl version was included in the deluxe edition of The Live Anthology box set The Live Anthology.

This rocks and an insight on the band rocking out
Wonderful live recording, really atmospheric and captures the early TP&TH at their tight but loose best. Not sure where this was recorded, but the whole show must surely be in the vaults somewhere? It hasn't been included in any of the compilations, which is a massive omission - it deserves to be more widely heard - it's an essential recording
Edited 5 years agoTrack A4 - The Wild One Forever appears on no other version of this release. Can anyone illuminate if this is a legitmate or actual bootleg of the Live 'Leg? TDM talked about his copy, given directly to him by Tom, on his radio show dated 10.07.17 as having 4 tracks and descibed the other cover. Also the official Reprise repress from 2009 has the other cover & 4 tracks.
Update: Thanks to those who offered replies and information.. lucky UK sobs with an extra track!
May be a bootleg, but it sounds great and actually sounds identical to the original.
