Leonard was the most amazing guide driving us to every wonder of the blue mountains trip with a beautiful story attached to each step and every corner. We felt very close to the rich cultural heritage of this part of Australia … plus lovely music along the way. - Heidi KCedar Rapids, IA6 contributionsI easily connected with the small group of 11 for this day trip, enjoyed the small van we took, and made friends who took pictures of each other. The private viewing of koalas was incredible, and the guide was willing to individually photograph each of us with the two koalas in a low tree we could reach. We were given packets of grass to feed the kangaroos and wallabies, toured the rest of the zoo-like adventure park, then left for more fun. We stopped several times along the ocean coast for pics then lunch at a swimming spot before traveling inland. The waterfall we saw was small compared to others in North America and the Caribbean, as we learned that Australia is the driest continent in the world, and low moisture equals small waterfalls. Finally, we ended at a winery for a wine-tasting flight each and charcuterie boards. A non-drinker was well taken care of as well. When we thought the tour was complete, our guide spotted a field full of probably 40 wild kangaroos on the way back to the hotel. These memories will be with me forever. - Walter B1 contributionThis tour was the highlight tour of our South Pacific trip. We spent a week in Australia prior to cruising through New Caledonia, Fiji, American Samoa, and Hawaii, with Disney. The tour was small and it allowed us to stop in places the busses couldn't stop. There were plenty of scenic stops along the way, so no issues with the restroom. There were also plenty of snacks and cold drinks available, when needed. We stopped along the coast and were able to get some excellent photos. We stopped at an excellent pie shop for lunch and then stopped at Carrington Falls and Fitzroy Falls before arriving in Kangaroo Valley. Carrington Falls is very scenic and did not appear in the other tours we looked at. We did the ABD Sydney Escape after this and Carrington Falls was not part of that. We spent plenty of time at both Carrington Falls and Fitzroy Falls, walking to all the viewing points. The other tour we had in the Southern Highlands could only stop at Fitzroy Falls and we only got one viewing platform. When we arrived at Kangaroo Valley there were plenty of kangaroos to get photos of. We took photos while the barbeque was prepared. After the barbeque we went out to find the wombats and saw several of them. We were able to get plenty of close up pictures with the wombats. We were able to see kangaroos in the Taranga Zoo and the Wildlife Sydney Zoo. The wombats, not soo much as they stayed hidden in the zoos. We are already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend, even in less than ideal weather. - Royston SFlushing, MI296 contributionsThis was my second visit to Sydney, so I wanted to see the things that I missed the first time around. Daily Sydney Tours staff were awesome. We were able to customize my tour to accomplish my list including pick-ups and drop off. Daniel was my guide for the day. He was great his knowledge was amazing. If there was something he didn't know or was unsure of he found out and followed up with the answer.
