Archbishop McCarthy is a Catholic college preparatory high school. Our forty-eight acre campus provides a safe and structured environment for our students with an emphasis on faith, family and education. The school is recognized as a Catholic Education Honor Roll School and is an Apple Distinguished School.

We are committed to excellence in education and embrace a mission of innovation in Catholic education. Through community service and mission work, our students learn to serve and offer their time and talents to help others.

Review Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School

DON’T COME HERE. This school lures you in as being the best Catholic school in South Florida they lie. They lie about almost everything, test prep almost non existent; college commitments, barely anyone goes where they want to only forty kids out of around 400 got into UF this year; lastly academically the school is subpar with a lack of resources, counselors that do very little, and a high teacher turn over with the best teachers leaving or being forced out. Also new opportunities for financial aid seem tempting, but don’t worry they raised tuition so you’ll still be paying the same. Every single administration got a promotion to do even less than they already did. Athletics are even worse they try to promote themselves as every sport is the same but that’s not true. Women’s and men’s sports are treated totally different. Women’s basketball will be on their fourth coach in four years because of a lack of resources and total push back from those in administration. Clubs are good.
