Hello folks. Can anyone give recommendations for games similar to the
ones that were made by Talonsoft back in the late 90's? I enjoyed the
tactical feel of them and didn't have to worry too much with all the
minutia. There are so many games now it's hard to decide. I just wnat a
evening turn based battle, any era. Thanks...

He wants an "evening" turn based.
Some of those have grown into monthly turned based:)

When I was young, you'd look at the sky at night,
and it was unbelievable how many stars there were
up there. I used to love to look at the stars.
Now I look up and don't see one.
