From Union College - New York

Since 1795, Union College has been continually redefining what it means to provide a liberal arts education. Here, tradition meets innovation across the arts, engineering, humanities, sciences and social sciences. As one of the nation’s oldest liberal arts colleges, and the first to offer engineering, we are ranked among the finest.

Union is a highly selective, private, residential college. Our 130-acre campus in Schenectady, N.Y. is a short walk to downtown, and is within easy reach of New York City, Boston, Montreal and outdoor recreation.

Our 2,100 students choose from 62 majors and minors. They engage with faculty and immerse themselves in research, internships and studying abroad. They create community through 150 student clubs and organizations, 26 varsity athletic teams (Div. III with Div. I ice hockey), our unique Minerva Program and many service opportunities.
