Boy, I've heard junk over my 40 years in the music business but, this takes the cake! This is almost as bad as when Edgar Winter attempted disco for the Blue Sky label!! One of the best drummers in the world, who can easily hold his own next to Rush's Neil Peart, should have bought back every copy of this CD, crossed out his name, and denighed every playing on such utter crapola! How do musicians reduce themselves after having successful careers is beyond my imagination. It is so fortunate for Carl that he was able to redeem himself in Asia, which contains some of the most outstanding percussion I've ever heard! Listen to the debut album and Phoenix -both have Carl at his best. But, stay away from 1PM as if it was the black plague! This album will definitely cause you to drive off the road into oncomming traffic. I've seen this happen way too often..prog guys falling apart at the musical seams. Just look at Jeff Lynne, still recovering from a fallen ELO spaceship that once ruled the airwaves. Or how about Robert Plant, after doing everything spectacular, why dont we just team up with Allison Krauss and go bluegrass??? What's next, Mariah Carey?? Guys, stay away from genres you have no business being in as the cheap imitation. If I wanted to hear the Cars, I'd listen to their far superior albums. You don't see Rick Ocasek trying to copy ELP do you? Stay away from bad pop. Stay away.... stay away!!!
I have the original vinyl LP. But this CD is just a digitalized copy of the vinyl LP. Isn't a digital remaster. All vinyl scratches and noises can be heard in the CD. Total scam. I can digitalize may own vinyls, for free.
I bought this LP in a used record store in 1986 for .25 cents. Mint condition. Promo copy. Probably a collector's item by now. I still have it. The only reason I parted with 25 cents for it was because I saw Barry Finnerty's name and mug on the back cover. Loved Finnerty's work with Miles Davis and The Crusaders, and also his own "New York City" recording. I'm also an ELP fan. But this record didn't do much for me. Carl Palmer lays down some great drum beats here and there, and that is probably the saving grace of the whole recording. No drum machines. The songs just kind of come and go. The songwriting just isn't really happening. Vocals are meh. It was an attempt at the very early NYC New Wave Rock/Pop happening in late 1979 early 1980, and it just didn't click. Why the hell was Barry Finnerty even involved with this? I just can't really recommend this. But listen to it if you want, it's a free country.

It's awful 80's dreck. The only thing saving it is that Carl Palmer is on drums - at least there's no drum machine! It won't find my CD player again for a long time.
ELP EST MORT... ALORS VIVE CP... DES MORCEAUX COURTS AGRÉABLE D'ÉCOUTE, UN BATTEUR QUI ASSURE ET QUI JOUE DE TOUS LES INSTRUMENTS, UNE FRAPPE DE BATTERIE BIEN PRÉCISE, CARL EST UN MUSICIEN QUI EN VEUT ET CONFIRME, aurait il trouvé sa voie avec cette panoplie de morceaux,,,mi pop mi rock...? il faut croire que oui en tout cas. je le recommande pour connaitre la voix de palmer et de carl, sans EL;
Brutto cd. Canzoncine e musica banale, non all'altezza di un grande batterista come Carl Palmer. Scadente anche l'audio. Sconsigliato agli appassionati del batterista degli EL&P.
