What this movie needs isn't a warlock (who are all bitches) but a Sage. This gets unfairly lumped in with Satanic Panic RPG shit like Mazes and Monsters (coming soon), the TTRPG element is part of the theme.

Truly one of the most non-sensical films I have seen as of late, this is like the result of enduring a 12 hour pregame for an all-nighter of D&D where everyone in the playgroup likes the idea of it but has never once played before and has decided to make up the rules as they go along. Think True American from New Girl but with bizarro creatures and head-scratching character interactions. If this wasn't so off-the-wall it would probably get rated lower since the production design ain't quite there, the video quality stinks, and you have to take notes to follow along. Extra half-star for the theme song!

In regards to Skullduggery, I must have watched Spoony's review over 20 times or so, as he made it seem way better than it was with all his comedic anecdotes.
So I finally decided to try the real thing and man; that was rough! Apologies to all those who reside in Trottelville, USA (please look it up; I certainly thought it was real🤣), but this thing is just ass and the ultra low quality version available doesn't help with the viewing experience.

Well, that cold open was something. It took me until halfway through the movie to actually piece things together. Not that the movie was doing itself any favors, the virtually nonexistent plot was so convoluted. I could tell there were many times where the movie was intentionally trying to be funny, but it was so terrible that it was actually ironically funny.
The Dale Doback award goes to the director Ota Richter for ultimately being responsible for this piece of shit ever reaching people's tv screens.

Total honesty here... I have no idea what I just watched.
In the broadest possible strokes, a guy plays some Cones of Dunshire knock-off with a literal circle of friends, starts taking their quests a bit too seriously and ends up on a full-scale murder spree. But it's so much stranger and nonsensical than that. And, most of the time, it's played for comedy.
Sort of. It thinks it's comedy.
While I'm not sure this works at all as whatever the hell it's trying to do, it's an experience that a specific subset of cinema viewers might enjoy. I'm debating whether or not I'm one of them. But I can say, for sure, that it's definitely an experience.
No rating on the first viewing, though I'm not ruling out another trip on this intensely peculiar ride.

I got transported to an alternate reality while watching this. The most random and incoherent chain of events to ever grace a horror film or movies in general. D&D slasher that was never on the rails to begin with and manages to only drift further and further from making any sense the longer it goes on. Skullduggery is everything you could want in a vhs brain scramble of glowing colors and off the wall fuckery.
The genre ambivalent "Skullduggery" is a treat for anyone who likes to watch movies with that WTF factor. I mean, through out the movie a tic tac toe game is played on the back of a wandering janitor. That's weird, right? There's also a magician, a pre Eyes Wide Shut cult party sequence, a mysterious man putting together an Adam & Eve puzzle, and a mess of riddles thrown in through out.
I think its a slasher made by people who prefer comedies - or is it the other way around? Either way - it's my favorite out of the "D & D is f***ed up and will kill you" sub-genre of horror. And it doesn't even have Tom Hanks in it.
Did I mention that it's about dungeons and dragons? It sort of is about that. Almost. Well, basically.
Whoever wrote the current Lb synopsis for this movie I assumed was having a laugh. Then I saw the film, and it’s…pretty accurate. Regional independent nonsense; like SPOOKIES, VIDEO DEAD or NEON MANIACS where something went wrong making it. This plays like an improv group doing the world’s worst Harold performance.
Somewhere in the running time — like 10 mins in — I lost track of the plot, so I decided to see what my tattered copy of “John Stanley’s Creature Features” movie guide had to say about it:
