About
The Sphere Experience featuring Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth invites you inside to embark on a multi-sensory exhibition and cinematic adventure. The Sphere Experience begins the moment you walk through the doors where you’ll be greeted by Aura, our real-life humanoid robot. And some of the latest technology you get to experience personally - a beam-forming sound display and a 50-foot-high holographic image. The main feature, Postcard From Earth, a specially commissioned immersive film by acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Black Swan, The Whale) takes advantage of all Sphere’s experiential technologies: from the world’s largest highest-definition screen that wraps over and around you, to the haptic seats and in-auditorium climate-system that engages your every sense, to the 167,000-speaker array that immerses you in sound. Sphere has multiple shows weekly.

    Breathtaking, overwhelming, bad for concerts
I expect my review to be contrarian to many future ones but as of this writing, there are only three submitted. I visited the Sphere to attend the second night of the U2 UV concert experience, with seats in the lower front of section 304 a couple of rows back from the lower divider overlooking the stage. U2, of course put on a fantastic show. My review feedback is about the venue. I had a number of issues with the venue as an audience member who wanted to have an engaged experience with the performance as I have at previous U2 shows. I’ve tried to provide an objective review of the venue and hope this is helpful to you if you consider spending, but will likely be large amounts of money, regardless of what event you attend at the Sphere. First, the theater is cavernous , not intimate at all, and section 304 is so high above the stage that you have to look straight down at the performers. Second, the seats are very narrow, and not banked enough to avoid view obstruction. If anyone stands up in front of you, or even shifts their position in the seat and waves their arms, they will block your view of the stage because of the steep downward looking angle to the stage. Third, the visuals while undeniably breathtakingly and impressive were overwhelming. It was like watching a small group of people performing in front of a massive IMAX screen. While U2 can pull off this kind of performance, I don’t see how many other performers could and it makes me wonder if the Sphere will be a popular future destination for concerts. Fourth, the venue promotional material promised unparalleled, crystal clear sound quality. This is not what I experienced. I found the sound frequently muddy, and it was hard to hear the lyrics clearly. I have experienced better concert sounds a traditional values of a speaker banks. Fifth, while getting into the venue was organized and efficient, getting out was an entirely different experience. It took almost 30 minutes for all 17,000 of us to shuffle out packed like sardines with no crowd control and it felt very unsafe. Stairwells, escalators, and the walkway were so packed that in the event of an emergency it would be a dangerously congested situation. Sixth, and finally the cost of drinks is exorbitant even by venue standards. Domestic beers are almost $20 dollars for a pint. Food was comparatively reasonable with entrées at $14. In summary, the Sphere is breathtaking but in my opinion, overwhelming as a performance venue and with several design flaws that detract from the audience experience. They advertise that there is not a bad seat in the house but it feels like only sections 100 and 200 would provide a good overall experience since they're not as high and you can see the performers better (except for the 200 section seats that have view obstructions).

Great experience, need access/exiting to be sorted better.
Best graphics ever & the music U2 were amazing. The access to the venue is best taken via The Venetian Hotel. We walked outside, Past The palazzo and then forced to walk into the oncoming traffic to get to the end of the queue which filled the pavement entering the venue.

Really good picture quality but nothing new
The tickets say the show we attended is at seven. So after standing in line to get in for forty five minutes we got in and went to the section 304 for seating. Wrong, the attendant said the show starts at eight, even though the ticket says seven. Why does Sphere lie about the time? So we stood for an additional fifty minutes because there very little place to sit. I guess they want to give plenty of time to drink 18$ beer. Wonder how much of that goes to save the rainforest.?. While the picture quality is very good it's nothing new. If you have been to flight in disneyworld you have experienced it

Major Issues Exiting the Sphere; GA is kind of miserable; is the Pedestrian Bridge EVER open??
I saw U2 here on 10/5. I was General Admission (GA). This review is for the venue only; U2 is always amazing and the capabilities of the Sphere are awesome and are probably only going to get better. Heading to the concert, security was blocking the entrance to the Venetian Pedestrian Bridge. Turns out the Pedestrian Bridge doesn't 'open till 6pm on show days. If you are earlier than that, you must walk out to the strip, pass the Palazzo, hang a right at Sands and walk to the Sphere. GA is instructed to show up at 530pm, so this included all of GA. I cannot recommend GA at this facility. You have to crane your head back just to see the band; if you want to see the wall/ceiling graphics you have to bend your neck and whole upper body back; you will be constantly looking up and over both shoulders, too. After 2 hours of this I was really uncomfortable; I didn't even want to look up at the graphics for the last few songs because my neck/shoulders/upper back were so sore. The GA floor is small and is packed tight. Everyone bending backward to see the graphics meant that everyone was getting headbutted by the person in front of them a lot. We all stopped apologizing pretty quickly. Exiting the Sphere was a real challenge. The Pedestrian Bridge was CLOSED as the concert was exiting - no explanation given as to why. They were forcing everyone onto Sands Ave, making us about 18,000 strong trying to use a single sidewalk westbound. There was no crowd control to keep people out of the street, and no traffic officers to regulate the intersection at Koval & Sands or the exit of the Palazzo parking garage onto Sands. Things got out of hand pretty quickly; people were walking in the street, mobs of people were running the 'walk' signs and blocking the cars in the intersection, horns were blaring. I sincerely hope that the exit process improves for these concerts going forward. To end on a positive note, the staff at the Sphere were some of the friendliest concert staff I have ever encountered; every single staff member was incredibly nice and helpful. I would return to see show here, because the graphics really are amazing, but I would 100% buy a seat next time.

IMAX on steroids. Great visuals, cringeworthy narrartion, very expensive.
I went to see Postcard From Earth. The visual effects are stunning. The presentation starts out looking like an IMAX movie and a few minutes into it, there is a "reveal" where the entire dome screen becomes active, covering your entire field of vision. It is unsurpassed as a technical achievement. You cannot see individual pixels, and the image resolution is incredible. What I didn't like: A few things. Crowd control is exceptionally poorly done. First of all, if you have tickets for a 9:30 show, there is zero point in showing up early. You'll be told to wait in one place, then another place, then herded like cattle into a maze, and you'll wait there, then you'll get to the door and you wait there, then they let you in but then you have to wait at the bottom of an escalator. It is one giant mess. The presentation does not start until an hour after the time on the ticket. So if you go, show up late and spare yourself a headache. Before the show there's some hideously expensive drinks to enjoy while you talk to animatronic robots. The venue itself is gorgeous. I sat in a low row of Sec 306 and the view was perfect from there. As for the presentation, it essentially has an environmentalist theme. I agree with the premise, but holy hell is it ever preachy, heavy handed, and the cinematic device they use is very cringeworthy, with loud, pointless narration throughout the whole thing. Bring earplugs because it gets needlessly loud. The last point to bring up is the cost. You're paying $250 for what essentially is an extremely high-end IMAX presentation that lasts less than an hour.

Awesome, but would I recommend it?
No U-2 show going on the nights we had open, so went and saw the movie showing inside called Postcard From Earth. The clarity of the video and the crispness of the sound was off the charts great. The show is simply an IMAX show on steroids. So the 1st recommendation, buy the least expensive seats. The viewing is amazing from any seat in the house, the 1st row to the last. They do not sell the side 2 sections on both sides, so no need to worry about location. The only negative I have, and it's quite a significant negative, is the prices on the average are at least 50% overpriced. The average ticket price I saw was $129, our tickets were $105 each. By the time Ticketmaster finished gouging us with fees, the cost for my wife and I was just south of $300. What we experienced was even by Las Vegas prices, at least $100 beyond logic. So would I recommend the show? Yes Would I do it again? A definite NO The reason for the yes, in spite of the prices is like this. If you saw Top Gun Maverick, would you recommend it to someone else? I would guess yes. If you had to pay $75 to watch the movie, would you still recommend it. Maybe yes, maybe no. It's worth seeing, it's just so overpriced by the time you pay the bottom line on your tickets. Do not miss seeing it at night from a bit of a distance. The outside light show is brilliant.

    Concert was amazing
Watched U2 and was simply blown away by the sound and visuals. One complaint is that it took too long to buy a beer from the cooler. The autoscanner was cool, but you had to answer too many cues, and it made the checkout so slow! There was only one checkout by 107 - definitely need more. Maybe 3 would do. It took a while for people to get into the venue. The lineup stretched for blocks. This resulted in a lot of people wanting to buy a beverage at the same time, without a lot of time to spare before the show began. Well done on the size of the women's bathroom. No lineup. Would come back to see another band. One final input would be to have the staff let people know that there are other entrances open when they see a long line stretching for 4 or 5 blocks.

    OK, But Disappointed
Overall OK, but not worth the cost. I've seen better Imax "like" events. Premium seats were $249 for 50 minute event................$5 a minute. Entry was chaotic and not well managed. Although we purchased tickets for the 4:30 p.m. showing, that's when the gates open, actual event started at 5:30 p.m.

    Don’t arrive early
We haven’t even gone in yet. Tickets are for 9:30 show. But gate doesn’t open until 9:30. Nearest restroom is in the Venetian over a quarter-mile walk down a long corridor. No place to get food or beverages and nowhere to sit and weight. Poorly designed entry. Hopefully the show is worth it.

    Great Experience but too expensive.
We saw "Postcard from Earth". We were told to be there at 9:30. We were packed into the hallways entering from the Sands Convention Center. Crowd control was poor. When we arrived, we were told the film would actually start at 10:30 and we had an hour to spend in the atrium with their AI powered androids and very expensive drinks. We really enjoyed interacting with the androids. The film started late, almost 11pm. It was breathtaking! Better that anything I had ever seen, easily surpassing IMAX. We had $169 seats for this 50 minute film. We sat in section 207, 18th row. I'd recommend sitting in cheaper seats as you will better appreciate the 360 degree nature of the film. Exiting was bad. We wanted to go out the way we came but were ushered out onto a busy street with narrow sidewalks.

The most disappointing experience in entertainment we have ever had.
The exterior of the sphere is impressive and makes you expect a similar impressive entertainment from the "Sphere Experience". This turns out to be a total was of time and money.
The access to the sphere itself is very poorly planned. The interactive experience the first hour is impossible to enjoy because there are hundreds of people trying to "interact" with the robots at the same time. Advertising this as an interactive experience is truly ridiculous; they would need to add three or four times the number of stations to accommodate the number of people there. While the huge scree is impressive, the overall movie experience is not significantly more impressive than the best IMAX theaters were you can go for a fraction of the price. We paid $200 per person for a group of four and truly felt scammed after we left this terribly organized "entertainment experience". While the "Post Cards from Earth" movie has some impressive scenes and production value, the one dimensional woke message adds insult to injury on this truly inexcusable experience at the price being charged. I would not recommend the Sphere Experience to anybody and would definitely recommend spending less money on better entertainment options in Vegas.

Terrible experience, very disorganized, still have not received a follow-up on my request for refund.
The “show” supposedly is at 4:30 pm. People began lining up outside over an hour beforehand…it’s not necessary as when the doors open you are released to enter the building to go up escalators to a large open space with about 6-8 “attractions” that becomes chaos. No instructions, information…but lots of very high priced concessions stsnds.
This hour before the “actual” show start time of 5:30 is obviously a money grab.
We were let into the arena seating which holds about 18,000 people and is very steep. Once we got to our seats in after the seating scramble due to people not reading signs and staff not understanding the process, we waited for the show to start. It started several minutes late…and glitched…several times. After over 20 minutes a lot of people got up and left for a refund.
Several dozen people were sent to the customer service/concierge and after a chaotic situation, we were given a business card and told to contact the m for our refund. To date I have not received any kind of response. We are out $250 that we were assured would be refunded.
Sad, because this could be a really great experience, but it turned out to be a terrible end to a nice trip,

I purchased tickets for February 24 and after at least a month they send me a message cancelling the event and tickets. Apparently the Sphere show was as not as lucrative and they overbooked a U2 concert in the same date. So they cancelled my tickets without a sorry or any other option. Sucks specially knowing that I plan a full weekend in Vegas in advance.

The ‘experience’ is where the lie starts. There isn’t one. Tickets for 4:30 meant you queued up at 4pm only to wait until 5:30pm for anything to happen. The one hour they make you wait inside the building is like watching paint dry with nothing to do. The movie started at 5:30. DEI special with climatologist/ecologist message that humans are evil. I don’t need to pay $200 a ticket for this crap. I will go give it to the casino another way.

We saw Postcard from Earth, which was a beautiful, immersive video audio experience. Nothing like it on the planet. The screen was massive. It makes IMAX look like IPHONE. Highly recommended. Postcard from Earth was not quite a documentary, but mostly a showcase piece for the audio/visual spectacle wrapped up in a beautiful film with an environmental message.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of snack and drink options. Wheelchair seating is on the top level, which is the best view. Higher up at the Sphere is better for movies, FYI, but you're many stories above the stage if seeing a live performance. Just looking down the rows can cause vertigo.

The lobby "show" was interesting...a future-themed Disney-esque showcase of robotic and AI tech. Pretty cool.

The only issue: parking was a straight headache. One of our party is in a wheelchair. We prepaid for onsite parking, as parking at the Venetian and making a 15 minute journey in a wheelchair wasn't going to work. What they did not disclose was that the onsite parking was leased to the F1 race, and even though the race was over 2 weeks ago their backup parking plan was to push people to another garage a few blocks away in a business center as their parking lot was full of bleachers and cement barriers from the race. The journey from the offsite garage was about what it would have been from the Venetian, and had us in the middle of the road twice due to blocked sidewalks and sidewalks that turn into dirt. The event staff attempted haphazardly to direct traffic on Sands blvd, but their efforts weren't very coordinated and it was quite chaotic at times, both entering and leaving.

In a nutshell: it's worth seeing, but avoid between October - December if you're driving, F1 just wrecks that entire side of town for months.

Postcards from Earth show is very over priced for the experience of "The Sphere" The show was at 7pm. We were told to get there by 6. When we arrived at 6 we had to wait 2hrs because they decided to change the showtime to 8pm. We were finally allowed to enter the building at 7:40 along with 5000+ other people. They had to wand and check everyone also check bags for those who were allowed to bring them in even though it very specifically stated...no bags can be brought in. Food and beverages are extremely overpriced. We paid 9.00 for a bottle of water. I'm grateful we ate dinner before going to the Sphere. It is a very unique place with the robotic and AI's but with so many entering at the same time it was over crowded to the point you could not get close to any of them. Also when we took the 4 flights of escalators, which were creaking and popping from the overload of people to our seats, we were not allowed to enter to sit in our seats even though it was 8pm. My Husband and I were exhausted from all the walking and waiting to enter that we were ready to sit and experience this show. We stepped over to a back wall and sat on the floor to rest and within minutes a staff member came over immediately and told us we were not allowed to sit on the floor and we were told to stand up. He told us there was seating downstairs and we could go there if we needed to sit down. The show is an IMAX show. It had amazing scenery and graphics. It would have been nice to check out the 1st floor AI's and robotics but we were rushed out immediately after the showing so that those who were supposed to be in the 930p showtime could get in before 11p. I feel that I wasted my time and money with this show and regretted not going to one of the other vegs show options available as it was his first time in Las Vegas.

My husband and I decided to do a winter trip to Vegas and get tickets to the spear since it wasn’t open back in August 2023 when we were there. I got tickets way in advance through vegas.com (bought the tickets in October) and we were extremely excited to see “postcard from earth“. We took an Uber to the Sphere, which was $50 approximately from red rock Casino, over to the sphere for the show on the Thursday night we arrived. We get there and we are told “there is no show that night at 7 PM”. not by personnel that worked there mind you but other ticket holders. No, the people who work at the Sphere basically hid from us. Other people were there speaking with security, and some woman who stayed on the phone the entire time (supposedly she was Sphere staff), and they were as angry and confused as we were.

It was explained to us, that the sphere had decided to close at 7 PM to 9 PM for a “private event“. Without telling anyone mind you and going ahead and letting tickets to be sold for that time. They completely tried to blame vegas.com for this mistake, so we called vegas.com only to find out that no they can’t sell tickets that they don’t have so they had all those tickets for that night, and they were never notified by the sphere either.

The Sphere tried to blame them, and they tried to blame the Sphere but when the dust settled, the truth came out. It was all the sphere. Buses started rolling up full of people. lots and lots of people. Big important VIP Company apparently. I’m sure they got a pretty penny for this event, and they decided it was more lucrative for them to do this and bump all the people who had come from all around, who had paid and gotten their tickets way in advance. The sphere tried to tell us there was an email sent. There was no email… vegas.com was very nice and they ended up refunding us our money so we didn’t have to wait until they could suss out what was going on.

Needless to say, we were extremely bummed, got a got a really bad taste in our mouths from this and had no interest in going to see any other show on any other day, and we will not attend any other shows either. I let friends and family know what happened and none of them wish to attend either. Be very careful, if they decide someone else will pay them more, you won’t be going to the show. This is just greedy and tacky.

Traffic is a mess in the area, plan plenty of time to get there.

Parking - Due to a mobility issue, it would have been nice to park in a handicap spot. I'm sure they are available, but I was directed to a spot that costs $47.50.

The show - it is incredible. But if people recording on cell phones bothers you, you will need to sit near the front. I estimate about 15% of the patrons were recording or taking pictures.

Overall - I was seated near the top, so cell phone usage by other patrons was a distraction when looking at the bottom of the screen. For the price of admission, I can't recommend the show due to cell phone distraction, but hopefully this review will help you decide.

Just awful. Show time is 4:30 on ticket, then you get an email that doors open at 4:30. They don't let you into seats until 5:10 and show starts at 5:30. Massive sea of people waiting to get to seats. Old people sitting on the floor because no seating in waiting area. No lights in aisle and cup holders at mid shin. I walked into the cup holder twice. It was just a complete horror show. I would not come here again for free. Take the link roller and enjoy it from the outside. We were having a great day today. This ruined it.

U2 at the sphere. Ok so the main issue the elephant in the room is the cost £500 gets you a restrictive view seat. Two drinks will cost you £50. Getting in and out is a pain takes a good 25 mins you are kettled in a narrow gangway whilst VIPs are whisked through... the show is all about the sound and lights. U2 themselves stroll through the show hardly breaking sweat as they know they are a small part of a big show. The sound quality is terrific ansd the video awesome as its probably unlike anything you have seen before. Hard core fans will think it l worth it, others like me struggle with the cost and the fact this is like another u2 fundraiser but this time is just for them.
