Valencia To Ibiza: By Air

Looking to travel swiftly from Valencia to Ibiza? Look no further! With a range of options available from Valencia airport (VLC), located conveniently close to the city center, we’ve got you covered. Keep reading for a breakdown of these options to help you choose the best fit for your schedule and budget.

Which Airlines Fly From Valencia To Ibiza?

✈️ Iberia – Spain’s national airline operates 3 return flights daily between Valencia (VLC) and Ibiza (IBZ) in the morning, early afternoon, and late evening. Iberia will be the best experience out of the three airlines, but not necessarily the best value.

✈️ Ryanair – Ryanair is the leader in low-cost flights in Europe. Some bloggers will warn you to stay away but if you go in not expecting a lot and are on a budget, they are fine. I’ve found early flights to be on time but later flights tend to be delayed.

Ryanair operates 2 return flights daily, six times a week, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Flight prices range from €20-€150 so if you are flexible you can get a great deal. Be careful with add-ons – Ryanair charges for everything!

✈️ Vueling – Spain’s low-cost Ryanair rival. Vueling operates a seasonal route from Valencia to Ibiza from June to September. Flight prices range from €21-€125 but Vueling only currently flies on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays so you are less flexible. Similar to Ryanair, be careful with add-ons or you might get stung!

Best Tools To Book A Flight

Looking for cheap flights is one of my favourite pastimes. I cannot resist a bargain and my impulsive nature means I often end up booking a flight to somewhere I’d never thought of going to all because of a cheap flight. Here are my 3 favourite flight search engines.

✈️ Google Flights – No surprise here. I love the flexibility and easy-to-visual graph Google Flights gives you. Put in the date you want to travel and play around with a return date.

You can select which airlines, how many stops, and even find graphs of how the price has changed helping you find that all-important bargain you can be proud of!

✈️ Skyscanner – Another big hitter in the flight-finding business. This was my go-to for many years before Google took its place in my heart. I

still love Skyscanner for its ‘Everywhere’ search function giving you even more flexibility. It’s worth using both Google Flights and Skyscanner together to see what bargains you find, especially if you’re flexible with where and when you travel.

✈️ Expedia – A bit of a wildcard compared to Google Flights and Skyscanner. Expedia has a decent search engine but its real use lies in getting a decent package deal on a flight and a hotel which sometimes ends up cheaper. Worth checking if you want to stay somewhere for longer.

Final Thoughts: The Best Way To Get From Valencia To Ibiza

Given the body of water between Valencia and Ibiza, you are limited to flying or going by ferry.

For me, the best way to get from Valencia to Ibiza is by flying. I always prefer the ease and speed of flying especially if on a tight schedule. I usually pack light and like to zip to places quickly. Flying allows me to get to places quicker and easier.

However, if you have a lot of luggage, the ferry could end up being cheaper. Paying for luggage, especially with Ryanair and Vueling, will quickly add up and it could end up costing more than the ferry.

By going via a ferry you can also book a vehicle. With a vehicle, you can explore the white island of Ibiza at your leisure and find those off-the-beaten-track hidden gems. And it is better for the environment!

Either way, you are bound to have a fantastic time both in Valencia and Ibiza!
