Here for sale we have a Gene Autry Guitar (1942): These were sold by Sears starting 1932 to parallel the rise of the famous cowboy star and are made of solid Spruce and Mahogany. Sears branded them “Supertone” but they were made by the Harmony Company of Chicago. Based on appearance and the solid headstock, we believe your Gene Autry guitar to be from the early 1940s. It is in superior condition to most of the comparable listings with a very intact decal. The guitar both still plays frets good.
