Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

British Prime Ministers are not commemorated as US Presidents are, so it is ironic that one of the few such sites is about the only foreign born PM, and the one derided as 'the Unknown Prime Minister". So well done Canada, and Rexton, New Brunswick, in particular, for crerating and maintaining this amazing site. As well as lots of info on Andrew Bonar Law, it is a fascinating insight into life in NB in the 19th century, through the well-preserved family home and outbuildings.

What makes it well worth a visit, even for those not that interested in Bonar Law, is that it is on a glorious riverfront location, with stunning views all around. The whole site seems to be well used for various community purposes, so should be supported by its domestic and foreign visitors alike.

This interesting site is the beautifully maintained childhood home of British Prime Minister Andrew Bonar Law who was born in Rexton in 1858 where his father was a Presbyterian minister. His father died when he was a boy and his mother re-married in 1870 and moved to Scotland where Bonar left school at age 16 to enter a family business at which he excelled and later went in to politics and was Prime Minister in 1922-1023. Unfortunately his term was cut short by his untimely death from cancer and he is buried in Westminster Abbey. In addition to his childhood home there is a very well done small museum and a nice park for picnics. Worth a visit to learn about this former not so well known New Brunswicker.

This farm has been captured in a time period where early settlers made this area what it is today. The farm is located on the Richibucto River and signifies the essence of living back in the early 1900's. Onsite animators make this visit enjoyable as they are in period attire and well versed in how life was back then. Very informative for those looking for a bit of history and culture. Learn more about a Canadian born British prime minister. Very well documented historical accounts of the cultures that helped form the region with detailed accounts of landmarks, tools used and people involved.

What a cool spot to take your family. There is enough historical tales that originate from this area to keep everyone's interest. The animators or time period actors do an excellent job of telling stories and demonstrating how life would have been like nearly 200 years ago in this area along the river. If you are a history buff, this is a must see and must do on your travel plans. Whether you are from near or far, this is worth the trip to see the sights and step back in time on this historic landmark.
