PHOENIX — Southwest winds will speed up some more on Wednesday afternoon along with another day of very dry and hot weather. Expect elevated wildfire weather conditions. Wind gusts will generally get up into the 20-30 mph range around the state.
All of Arizona is experiencing above average temperatures right now and those high numbers will have staying power into the first weekend and workweek of June. For the Valley, this translates to temperatures sticking near 105 degrees.
With the high heat will also come days of high ozone pollution in the Phoenix metro.
