Have you ever wondered who your closest celebrity look alike is?

There is a growing trend in which people post their celebrity doppelgängers on social media, but how can you find out which celebrity looks like you?

Fortunately, there are plenty of apps that help you find your celebrity look alike. These apps analyze your picture and match you with your celebrity look alike.

They use AI and advanced algorithms to analyze your facial features and compare them with those of celebrities in a wide database, thus ensuring you find the closest match. These algorithms are similar to those used in neural networks that enable image classification or facial recognition.

Here are the top celebrity look alike apps on the market right now, so you can also join this trend.

The short version: Celebs is the best celebrity look alike app, but others like StarByFace and Looky are pretty good as well. Your results may vary from one app to another.

1. Celebs – Celebrity Look Alike (Android/iOS)

Celebs is an app that allows you to upload your pictures and see who your closest celebrity twin is. It will analyze your picture and not only match you with a celebrity but also give you a resemblance percentage.

For example, it might say that you look 89% like Tom Cruise. This percentage is calculated by its algorithms that determine how closely your facial features align with those of the celebrity.

There are thousands of celebrities in the database, and you can upload an unlimited number of pictures. Sometimes, uploading a picture from a different angle will get you matched to a different celebrity.

After you get your results, you can easily share them to Snapchat or download them to your phone to share on WhatsApp or other social networks.

The app runs offline, which means that your photo is not uploaded to and stored in the cloud. That ensures that your privacy and online safety is maintained.

To be clear, Celebs does not use facial recognition technology, so it can’t identify you. Instead, it uses image classification algorithms based on CoreML, another factor that helps keep your data safe.

2. StarByFace (Android/iOS/Web)

StarByFace is an app that uses artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology to scan thousands of celebrity faces and match you with your celebrity twin.

What I like about StarByFace is that it doesn’t just show you one celebrity you look like. Instead, it gives you a whole list of celebrities that have matching facial features.

You will get a percentage match for each celebrity. You can then share each individual result.

Also, you will get three filtering options to filter through your results: Male, Female, and Best Pair.

That means that even if you’re a male, you can see which female celebrities you look like, and vice versa.

In addition to the mobile apps, you can use the web app, which allows you to upload a picture from your gallery or paste a URL. You can share your results or visit the Wikipedia page of any celebrity in the results to learn more about them.

3. iLook aLike (Android)

iLook aLike is an Android app that uses artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology to match you with celebrities you share a resemblance with.

There are over one thousand celebrities in its database. The app will scan millions of celebrity photos to find your best match within just a few seconds.

These celebrities include singers, actors, and other public figures.

Once you get matched, you can learn more about the celebrity, such as what they are most famous for and interesting facts about them. The app also features fun quizzes and challenges which test your knowledge of different celebrities.

You can also share your results on social media to inform your friends of your celebrity twin.

In addition, you can use the app to get recommendations for your fashion, hairstyle, and overall style.

One cool thing about the app is that the database is updated regularly, allowing you to get new matches every day. Check back to see if there are new celebrities you might resemble.

4. Y-Star: Celebrities Look Alike (Android/iOS)

Y-Star is an app that will help you find your celebrity doppelgänger. It matches you not only with famous celebrities but also with lesser-known ones, allowing you to get more accurate results.

Once you get your results, you can download them to your phone or share them directly on Instagram or other social media platforms.

Since the app relies on your main facial features (such as your nose, eyes, and mouth) to match you with celebrities, it’s best to take a front-facing picture for the most accurate results.

To ensure your privacy and safety, the app does not store your image on its servers.

5. Look Alike: Who Do I Look Like (iOS)

This app features over one thousand celebrities in its database. After snapping a picture and uploading it, it will provide you with a list of celebrities you look like, along with a match grade from 0 to 100.

It uses artificial intelligence, facial recognition, and machine learning technology from Amazon to aid in its matching process.

Once you get your results, you can share them to platforms like Tumblr and Facebook to show off to your friends.

You can upload an unlimited number of pictures to try and see which pictures get you different results. If you upload many pictures from different angles and keep getting matched with the same celebrity, you probably really look like them!

6. Celebrity Look Alike – Looky (iOS)

Looky is an iOS app that matches you with celebrities you resemble. It’s free to use, although you will have to view ads to use it for free.

All you have to do is snap a selfie and upload it, with results being generated in an instant. Once you get the results, you can share them on Instagram or Snapchat or download them to your phone.

Each result comes with a match percentage score telling you how accurate the resemblance is, based on machine learning algorithms.

7. Twinlets (Web)

Twinlets is a web app that claims to have over 150 million faces in its database! That’s quite a lot of people, and it includes all sorts of celebrities, public figures, and others.

While it doesn’t have a mobile app, you can use the web app in your mobile browser.

To get started, choose if you want your results to be male, female, or both. Then, upload a picture from your gallery or take a picture using your device’s built-in camera.

If there is nobody found in the database who matches your facial features, you will be shown a random, funny photo of a random person.

Those results can be quite comical at times. I got matched with a random person who had a busted eye and some sort of bandage on his head.

The second time, I got matched with a baby!

So, even if you don’t find a look alike, it’s definitely fun to play with.

8. FaceLord: Celebrity Look Alike (Android)

FaceLord is an interesting and unique app. Unlike most other celebrity look alike apps, it doesn’t just match you with your celebrity doppelgängers based on your facial features.

Instead, it also uses voice recognition technology to find celebrities whose voices sound similar to yours.

In addition to matching you with celebrities, FaceLord has a variety of other AI-powered tools.

For example, it can help you determine how compatible you are with your partner based on your personality. It can also help you determine which career suits you best.

9. Twin Strangers (Web)

This is a unique app worth looking at.

Most of the celebrity look alike apps use a database of celebrity pictures taken from public sources on the internet. However, even if you get matched with a celebrity look alike, there’s no real way of contacting them.

However, Twin Strangers does offer that option.

It allows anyone to submit their photo into their database and get matched with their doppelgängers. Your doppelgänger might be a regular person, or it might be a niche celebrity or internet influencer you would not find on other, smaller databases.

Twin Strangers currently has over 11 million users!

When submitting your photo, you also submit your contact information. That ensures that when you find your doppelgänger, you can contact them and even arrange a meetup.

It’s free to sign up, but additional costs may apply after your first few initial searches. The app uses artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology to match people.

Once you get matched with someone, you can add them to your “My Twins” folder and star them, alerting them that you have an interest in chatting and potentially meeting up. There is no pressure, though; nobody is forced to meet up or even maintain a conversation with their doppelgängers.

As I mentioned, you can find all kinds of people on the site, including celebrities. However, there is a catch: The other person needs to have signed up and submitted their photo as well.

10. TwinFinder (Android/Web)

TwinFinder is a newer app that helps you find your celebrity look alike. Using advanced facial recognition technology, it searches through its massive database and helps you find the perfect match, regardless of age, gender, skin color, or ethnicity.

You will get a list of look alike celebrities, along with a percentage score telling you how accurate the match is.

Click on any result, and you will be able to see additional options: Click on “Info” to learn more about the celebrity shown, or click on “Share” to share your results on social media.

To protect your safety, TwinFinder automatically deletes uploaded pictures after 24 hours, so your data is not stored permanently in the cloud.

11. Lookaliker: Find Doppelgängers (Android/Web)

Lookaliker is an app that analyzes your face and extracts 128 biometric points of reference to identify which celebrities are your closest doppelgängers. Some of these points of reference may include the shape of your eyes, the distance between your eyes and ears, and others.

It has an extensive database of celebrity photos, and this database is being expanded and updated regularly.

Start by taking a picture, cropping it, and uploading it. You will get several results with varying accuracy scores, and you can share each result on your socials.

12. Yandex Images (Android/iOS/Web)

Most doppelgänger finders and celebrity match apps face one of two limitations. Either the database is limited to uploaded celebrity pictures, which may not exceed a few thousand people, or it’s limited to user-uploaded photos.

If you use a reverse image search engine, you can compare your photo to all images ever indexed on the web, on any website. That includes celebrities, of course, but also pictures uploaded to personal bios, about pages of blogs, and more.

There is, however, a big problem with most reverse image search tools. Google, for example, uses object recognition and image classification to run reverse image searches and not facial recognition.

There is a good reason for that, and that is for protecting online privacy.

Facial recognition software has many benefits. For example, government agencies can use it for surveillance, matching shots taken from CCTV cameras to those in criminal databases.

However, there are many pitfalls, as it can be used to stalk people online. Therefore, Google tends to shy away from openly using facial recognition technology in its reverse image search tool.

Therefore, if you upload a picture of yourself to Google, you won’t get accurate results. If you are wearing a light blue shirt, a red tie, and a black Fedora, you might get matched with celebrities wearing those same articles of clothing.

Or, you might get matched with pictures of celebrities that share other similarities to your picture. For example, the background landscape might be similar.

However, Yandex, a search engine mostly popular in Russian-speaking countries, is different. It combines standard image classification algorithms with facial recognition technology, according to The Daily Mail.

MailOnline tested this theory by uploading a picture of someone; this picture was never published anywhere on the web. Yandex was able to match this picture to two pictures of that same person already published on the web.

Other search engines, on the other hand, did not. Instead, they matched it with pictures that looked alike in other ways but were not of the same person.

What does this mean for you? Basically, it means that if you want to find celebrities or online personalities who look like you, your best bet is to use Yandex’s reverse image search, not Google or Bing.

The easiest way to use it is to download the Yandex Browser app on your phone. Then, click on the camera icon in the search bar to take a picture.

You can take a selfie picture and upload it. Then, click on “Similar Images” to find images of celebrities and other people who look like you.

13. BoredHumans Celebrity Lookalike Finder (Web)

BoredHumans has a ton of fun tools to play with when you are bored. One of those tools helps you find your celebrity doppelgänger.

All you have to do is upload a picture of yourself and then let the tool do the rest of the work. There is a limit of 10 uploads per day to reduce server overload, but the tool is free to use.

You can also check out the other BoredHumans tools, such as the AI Celebrity Chat tool that lets you chat with celebrities like Elon Musk.

14. FaceShape (Web)

FaceShape has a web app that allows you to quickly find your celebrity twin. Just upload your picture and let the AI algorithms, which are trained on a large dataset, find the closest matches.

You will usually get several matches.

Once it does, you can gain inspiration from the celebrity’s style.

There are other helpful tools you can use to gain style and fashion inspiration. You can try on different glasses or experiment with makeup.

15. Twin – Celebrity Look Alike (Android)

This app allows you to search through thousands of images to find the closest celebrity match. Thousands of celebrities, including singers and Hollywood stars, are included in the database.

The app will show you which celebrity you look like and how much you look like them, using a percentage score.

You can then share your results to social media, relying on the advanced facial recognition technology used to ensure accuracy.

16. Celebrity Twin: AI Face Photo (Android)

Finally, we have Celebrity Twin. One thing I like about it is that you can search for public figures from different categories, including political leaders, athletes, and even Middle Earth figures!

If you’re an NBA, NFL, or Lord of the Rings fan, this app is perfect for you.

Which NFL player do you think you look like most? You can find out using Celebrity Twin!

Once you get your results, share them on social media or download them to your phone.

Final Thoughts

There are many apps that allow you to search for your celebrity doppelgänger. It’s important to note that each app might have a unique database, a unique data set for training the AI, and unique algorithms.

Therefore, your results may vary. That’s why I recommend trying out a few apps to see if you get similar results.

Have fun!
