Fairfax Senior High School Reviews

Fairfax High School is where I found my closest friends. There is such a diverse variety of people there; it’s hard to find someone who’s exactly like you. Fairfax embraces this diversity by implementing clubs like the GSA, Black Student Union, Asian Student Union, and many more. Programs and clubs like Decathlon, Link Crew and MESA helped build my leadership and academic skills. There are teachers that all students collectively hate, but there are teachers I had that completely changed my life. The school climate is lively; there’s always an event or something you can do. However, Fairfax isn’t a very safe school. There are many fights, and there were a few threats directed at our school. These conflicts are immediately dealt with, which lowers my stress. Overall, Fairfax High School is a wonderful, diverse school to be in. Despite its safety concerns, I can’t imagine myself being anywhere else.
It's a cool school right in the heart of super busy Melrose fashion district. It's got a great sports program for football and baseball, great music and art, and has its own theater for drama productions. It is in mid city so kids will be exposed to a lot of culture and diversity as the neighborhood is mixed with musicians, artists, immigrants, LGBTQ community, and Beverly hills ! I loved going there and living in that neighborhood!
Fairfax Senior High is a school with history. There is a great atmosphere of a home, especially because of the teachers. Besides, school makes me feel safe. There are a lot of trusted adults who I can ask for help if I need. I like clubs, sports, afterschool programs, food, diversity, and people in this school. One thing I really don't like about this school is the administration. It doesn't want to work and help students.
