What travelers are saying
- K T5 contributionsGreat opportunity for older kids to learn history visually. Well done. My dad's fighter is on exhibit, but the wings are folded cause it's really large. Be sure to explain that the wings were hinged to fit more fighters in the carriers. Nice volunteers.Written May 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robin KLake George Region, NY14 contributionsVery interesting plantation tour with a lot of history. The tour schedule is well organized - review the talk/tour schedule when you arrive and it is easy to line up the timing so that you are able to see everything. Definitely do NOT miss the Gullah Culture live presentation - it was our favorite. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andy T3 contributionsCaptain Toby and the crew at OSA had us out and sailing within 15 minutes of arrival. Clean, well maintained safe vessel with plenty of room for everyone. Toby shared his wealth of knowledge on sailing and Charleston history. My daughter took the tiller and barely gave it up for the whole 3 hours we spent on the water. - dambankerToronto, Canada1,742 contributionsGreat place for a walk, very peaceful and lots of scenery. This was suggested to me by a local working at our hotel.
According to the local lore, the bridge was the first causality of the Civil War as the Union forces on Fort Sumter destroyed it as it was used to supply Fort Moultrie. Haven't read anything to verify this but its sounds plausible and makes for a good excuse to visit here. If you need one. Nonetheless it gives an interesting perspective as you can see both forts from here.Written December 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have several life guards who seem to keep a good eye on things. They keep the area clean. There are big umbrellas over a wading end of a pool, if you are wanting to cool off, but not go through a splash pad or slide.Written July 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
