The 30 track Jim Reeves collection WELCOME TO MY WORLD was issued by BMG in 1993.
Gentleman Jim Reeves was a pioneer of the Nashville Sound, a blend of old-style country and modern pop music. Although he perished in 1964 at age 40 in a plane crash, Jim's recordings continued to chart for two decades, thanks in large part to the efforts of his widow, Mary. She reworked old tracks, overdubbed unreleased material with new instrumentation and created a series of duets, including some with Patsy Cline, who died two years before Reeves, also from a small plane accident.
The first posthumous Reeves single was Distant Drum (#1, 1966); the last was The Image of Me (#70, 1984). In 2000, the SOUNDIES company issued a small collection of Jim's leftovers on a CD called
THE UNRELEASED HITS OF JIM REEVES
. This may be the last we'll see of new Gentleman Jim songs.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Upon reciept of the album,I looked immediately for the title song "welcome to my world". The two discs in the packet were a different color, but the songs were exactly the same, and "welcome to my world" was not on either disc. I wrote a note to that effect when returning the order, but apparently no one read my complaint. I would have been pleased for them to send a complete replacement, however they just refunded my money.
