Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Marilyn Bellfontaine18 contributionsWe loved Marina Di Ragusa! We spent January, February and March there. The Lungomare was beautiful! The whole long walkway including Lungomare Mediterraneo which our rental home was closer to was beautiful. The beach is a huge expanse with tan colored sand. We didn’t go swimming although my husband and I did go into the Mediterranean up to our knees and even in March it wasn’t freezing cold. We rented our 3 bedroom, two bathroom home from Ivan Franzoso at DELPOSTO.it. We had an outside kitchen where my husband quite often cooked breakfast and supper. We sat on a large south facing patio in the sun each morning. We could see the Mediterranean from that deck. The people in Marina Di Ragusa were very pleasant and although we didn’t speak Italian we managed just fine. The Marina there was full of so many boats, most of which were sail boats of all kinds. Marina Di Ragusa was safe and very well kept. Most often we ate at home but every restaurant we did go to had absolutely superb food… so good! Our favourite was Burger Art where we got a huge burger and fries for a very reasonable price. I do look forward to going back one day!Written 18 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- le_finoParis, France189 contributionsWe went to this reserve with the kids a few years back and enjoyed the fish in the creek and the little beach a bit further on. Bring water though as it is hot and they do not sell any food or drinks on siteWritten 9 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SalshoreDallas, TX4 contributionsYou will melt away into nothing before someone brings you a drink or some food.
We waited over an hour after we
got the menu for someone to take
our order. Asked someone to
come and take it 3 or 4 times,
each person said it's not my job,
I'll send the waitress.
Staff at the beach have such a
bad attitude. This place wants to
be high end but has service that's
below unacceptable.
As far as the beach- it's nice.
Same as the other areas. Nice
chairs and umbrellas. No towels
provided. When they brought us
to the chairs they were full of sand
as was the table. Guy just pointed
- didn't clean or brush anything
off.
This place has some potential. Maybe it was good at one time,
but needs management.Written 4 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Meg SSarasota, FL302 contributionsWe come to Marina every year. We are regulars at Cafe Roma. It's a small place with a mostly local clientele. They are friendly and their products never disappoint. It's location at the top of the Piazza is very convenient as it is across from the Farmacia and the Tabacchi, and down the street from the best Panificio in town.Written 28 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fiona P1 contributionOMG, absolutely our best find in Sicily. Wanted a Montalbano specific tour and he gave us this and so much more. With his effortless English and local knowledge, feel we have had such a personalised informative tour. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Dom for making our trip so special and memorable.Written 16 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shelly SSan Antonio, TX244 contributionsWe needed to travel from Ragusa to Agrigento, and were lucky enough to find Danilo.
He not only provided outstanding service, he also took us to see the mosaics near Piazza Armerina.
We enjoyed our day with him and would highly recommend his services.Written 1 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
