At Indeed, we operate within the standard office hours of the given city or country. This is usually a 9am to 5pm work day, with weekends and holidays off. We also offer our employees Open PTO or Holiday, as we want employees to take off as much time as they need, as long as they are hitting their targets and have manager approval.

Most employees are offered flexible work hours, with only a few teams that are required to be there at set times (front desk, IT, etc.). For the amount of hours worked, that will vary based on the team and projects that may need to be completed, but we are based on a full work week at 40hrs.

Some tips on what to anticipate: Types of questions Our interview process is built around measuring each candidate’s capacity to demonstrate the fundamental core skills Indeed seeks in candidates of all levels. This means you will likely encounter: behavioral, problem solving, creative/ brainstorming, and situational questions. Think out loud We want to hear your thought process. Throughout your interview, we will likely ask questions about why you did something. Don’t fret! Your thought process gives us valuable insight into how you solve problems and make decisions. If we move beyond asking for clarity to challenging your idea, we’ll make that clear. Ask questions If you don’t understand a question, ask the interviewer to repeat it. If you still don’t understand, ask follow up questions to get to the root of what your Interviewer is asking — we do this all the time so it’s good for you to practice! State your assumptions Assumptions are useful to make while solving problems as long as you make sure you call out what you know and what you’re assuming you know. In some instances, the interviewer will provide more clarity or propose making different assumptions while solving the problem they’ve posed. Stay calm and positive You might make a mistake! We make mistakes too. We’d rather you go back and correct your mistake than continue with something that isn’t what you fully intended. Having the humility to acknowledge your mistakes and make necessary changes is an incredibly valuable skill. Be aware of your body language and tone of voice. Remain engaged by giving your full attention to the interviewer.
