Enchanting, mysterious, and deeply romantic, The Lighthouse follows a young woman's breathtaking journey far from home to discover where she truly belongs.

Something strange is happening in Seabrook. The town's lighthouse-dormant for over thirty years and famously haunted-has inexplicably started shining, and its mysterious glow is sparking feverish gossip throughout the spooked community.

Amy Tucker is only visiting for the night and has no plans to get caught up in the hysteria, but that changes when she meets Ryan, the loyal, hard-working son of a ranch owner who lives on the outskirts of town.

Their chance encounter turns into an unforgettable weekend, and against the backdrop of the lighthouse-obsessed town, the two of them forge a deep connection, opening their hearts, baring their souls, and revealing secrets long kept hidden.

But as they grow closer, and as the lighthouse glows ever brighter, a startling discovery about Ryan leaves Amy questioning everything she thought she knew. To uncover the truth about her new friend, Amy will need to enter Seabrook's ominous tower, where waiting inside she will not only find the reason why fate has brought them together... but a shocking secret that will change the course of their lives forever.

Interesting story, good characters. Clean. Parts of it could have been a little stronger and played out more, especially since the book really started to get intriguing and then it proceeded rather quickly to the finale. I would read another book by this author.

Very interesting reading. When I first started reading, I wasn't sure where we were headed but further into it, I couldn't put it down. Loved the story and believing that anything is possible, was intrigued by the story. Enjoyed the book and the message I took away. Highly recommend to a reader who believes in another dimension and the grieving for a loved one The importance of family.

I enjoyed reading this book but the plot was somewhat disjointed and unfinished in my view. Little connected from the unconscious story to the conscious one high made the reader lost and expectant for a connection that never happened. This made for a weak and unfulfilled ending.

This was a bit of a love story and a mystery too. It contained lots of action as well as some surprises. It showed a lot of tender feelings among families.

I have probably read 5000 books in my lifetime. I am old and I read all the time..... Many of the books I read the authors aren't very engaging. They tend to say the same things over and over in all of their books.. This is the first time I've ever rated and reviewed a book. I'm impressed that this is the author's first book. It is very well written and I didn't want to put the book down. I'll be watching for Mr. Parkers next book!

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting premise, dull realisation
Reviewed in Germany on November 23, 2021
Magical realism is a difficult genre to pull off. There aren't many books that are able to flawlessly mix the realistic plot with the magical elements, and this isn't one of them for me. The story itself is all right, but I am not sold on the style of this author. The dialogues especially sounded forced and long-winded at times. I skipped some parts because I didn't have the patience to read through them.

A truely well written story which captured my heart, and the knowledge that everything happens for a reason. Well done to the author.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Lighthouse Gives You A Nice Warm Little Glow
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 18, 2022
Now this book took me completely by surprise.
All was chugging along quite normally until suddenly the tale took
a surreal twist, involving a young couple who had both lost their
mothers; and the introduction of the Lighthouse threw a completely
new light on it all. (sorry about that).

I warmed to the strangeness, the other worldly feel to it all, and put
it all down to a very nice little love story, which kept you thinking right
to the end.
Gave you a nice warm little glow inside - there's that Lighthouse again!
