A total mess of a film that opens with important story exposition delivered off-camera via subtitles and post-synced dialogue, WARHEAD shows every sign of a troubled production. Produced and written by MOD SQUAD creator Buddy Ruskin (who takes the “A Film By” credit), the film was partially bankrolled by TONIGHT SHOW laugher Ed McMahon, who became embroiled in pre-release legal battles with Ruskin.
Eventually, WARHEAD fell into the public domain, probably because everyone involved just wanted to wash their hands off the whole muddled affair.
