Prime Video's darker take on superheroes returns in The Boys season 4, which depicts a world in which people are obsessed with an elite superhero class of celebrity, however they're mostly all evil in one way or another.

In the past few seasons we've seen a group of vigilantes who call themselves The Boys try and take on The Seven of top-tier 'Supes' as the superheroes are called, only to lose many of their own in the process. In season 4 there are more betrayals and conflicts as the leader of the group fights a ticking clock to win back his son from the clutches of Homelander, the leader of The Seven.

The first three episodes of The Boys season 4 will join the previous seasons (and two spin-off series) on Thursday, June 13, and the rest of the season will arrive one episode per week from then.

Joko Anwar’s Nightmares and Daydreams

  • Netflix sci-fi horror anthology arrives on on Friday, June 14

Netflix has another horror anthology hitting its (metaphorical) shelves this week, in the form of Nightmares and Daydreams helmed by Indonesian director Joko Anwar.

Each episode of Nightmares and Daydreams explores a different story in a sci-fi world created by Anwar, which sees aliens living amongst society covertly. If previous Netflix anthologies like Love, Death and Robots and Cabinet of Curiosities are any judge, this could be one to watch for horror or sci-fi fans.

All episodes of Joko Anwar's Nightmares and Daydreams will hit Netflix on Friday, June 14.
