Electrelane

Profile:

In 1998, drummer Emma Gaze and multi-instrumentalist Verity Susman formed the British indie rock band Electrelane in Brighton, England. Various personnel joined in the formative years. Guitarist Mia Clarke replaced Debbie Ball before the band released their debut album. Rachel Dalley played bass on the early singles and first two studio albums, "Rock it to the Moon" and "The Power Out." Ros Murray, an Electrelane fan, took over bass guitar duties in 2004. The band went on an indefinite hiatus after a last home show, at Brighton's Pavilion Theatre, on December 1st, 2007. They reformed in 2011 for a few gigs, including summer festivals. In 2012, Electrelane played more summer shows, including a return to Australia and a performance in Hong Kong. The quartet has returned to indefinite hiatus since that final tour. Record label Too Pure reissued Electrelane's studio albums on vinyl in 2013.
