Joshua Tree plot
"When it comes to getting even, he's taking revenge into overdrive."
Wellman Santee earns his living after a short-lived rally career smuggling expensive sports cars. During an illegal car transport, Santee is caught by the traffic police. During the ensuing firefight, a policeman is shot. Santee ends up in prison, but manages to escape in a sneaky way. He steals a jeep, which happens to be owned by Rita, an attractive cop. During his escape attempt, Rita first becomes his hostage, later his partner.

Decent action, nice car, beautiful lady, but also a slow pace, terribly boring story, bad acting, and an 80's soundtrack while this is a 90's movie. A typical B-movie. 1.5*

This film gets off to a fairly slow start and the first part contains little momentum and little tension. Fortunately, it is only when Lundgren confronts the dealer of those sports cars whose name I have forgotten that things get a bit better. From then on there are some entertaining action scenes. As noted earlier, the accompanying shootout between all those sports cars was clearly reminiscent of the work of John Woo. Nice slow motion action and a lot of bullets followed by an escape in a Ferrari F40. That ride with a Lamborghini in pursuit is still entertaining, but unfortunately the ending is a bit weak.

Watched today on a nice Blu-ray (bought via Amazon) with very nice picture and sound.
I did enjoy this film, I found no boring parts and nice roles from Lundgren and the woman.
Good (hard) shooting with lots of blood, good/exciting chases and also explosions, everything happens in this film.
Also corrupt cops and a reasonable story, the locations are also beautiful in the desert and between the rocks.
All in all a very cool film with Ludgren!
