I know this zoo for many years and went their recently again.
It is usually not overcrowded which is a clear plus, and the animals seem to be treated well

We have been to this art museum on multiple occasions and always find they have interesting and worthwhile regional as well as international contemporary art. If you have even an hour, it's worth visiting! It's a small regional art museum with a building designed by Alvar Aalto, who currently has some of his work exhibited in one of the galleries, including furniture and drawings, photographs, and a video of his life's work. Be sure to walk in the outdoor sculpture garden if you have time and good weather. The museum cafe offers a fairly typical contemporary dining experience though we did not eat there on this most recent visit.

Excellent combination of the museum (need to pay for it), the outside 'graveyard', the remains of the viking house and also the surrounding area for a welk (small hidden lake).

Ideal location to learn more about the viking history and lhow people lived in that time period.

Time passes quickly once you start walking / looking around here.

We were 3 adults with 2 kids aged 6 and 4.5. The indoor museum did not interest me so much where it houses 160 ships models.

We found outdoor a lot more interesting with the submarine Springeren and the torpedo ship Søbjørn where one can walk from one end to the other. Kids loved the playground where they drove round and round in the mooncars.

Fun visit with kids and great savings if done together with the Forsvar museum.

Absolute gem of a museum. Seems to be run by ex-military volunteers who are clearly passionate. Displays are numerous and information dense, you could easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.

Unique Aalborgtarnet, a stunning hill top tower overlooking Aalborg.
    A wonder of Danish engineering.
Well worth a look, if only for the view!

Great location , next to the Aalborg strip , despite the noise outside on a Saturday night , it was quiet inside, room was a little small but met my needs and the breakfast was good

Tried to enter the Graabrodrekloster Museum, using the automatic machine to no avail as it wasn't working, but luckily there was a museum worker there who let me in for free (Mange Tak), otherwise its 50DKK.
You go down in a lift below street level, where the remains of a monastery are preserved behind display cases.
Very small, but perfectly formed museum - a school tour happened during my visit, so a little crowded, but still a good visit.

I wasn't able to go inside this building on my visit but the outside is beautiful and well preserved. There is a marker across the street that gives you some context

It was not somewhere you'd spend long. But there are restaurants at the bottom you can eat at. The tourist information centre is in this building also
