MoP Remix Clarifications

Community Manager Kaivax answered some interesting questions about MoP Remix coming in Patch 10.2.7!

  • Remix characters (Timerunners) can be created on any realm of your choice.
  • When you select a Timerunner and hit "Enter World", you will enter the Remix world and play there starting at level 10.
  • After the event ends, Timerunners will be converted into standard characters on your realm.
  • Areas that changed during original MoP or later (such as Valley of Eternal Blossoms) will look like they do in Chromie Time. There won't be no Visions of N'Zoth look/content for the Valley.
  • The original legendary cloak questline won't be available.
  • Items that were only available during the original MoP release, like Ashen Phoenix or Kor'kron War Wolf will not be available. This includes the Challenge Mode sets, sorry!
  • Rare drops like the Son of Galeon or the Astral Cloud Serpent will drop in Remix and can be purchased by Remix characters with the Bronze currency.
  • You can play as an Evoker, but you will need to adhere to the one-Evoker-per-realm limit.
  • Timerunners can be added to existing guilds and can earn achievements in Pandaria just like normal characters.

You will create new Remix characters (Timerunners) for this event on whichever realms you choose. So that can be the realm on which you mainly play, and it can be realms where you have some alts, and it can be a realm that’s completely new to you.

When you select a Timerunner and hit ‘Enter World’, you’ll enter the Remix world and play there starting at level 10. After the event ends, your Timerunners will be converted into standard characters and you’ll have them available to you in the character selection screen alongside your other characters.

Will original Vale of eternal be available to play?

When you’re in Pandaria on a Timerunner, areas that changed during original Mists of Pandaria or later (such as the Vale of Eternal Blossoms) will look like they do in Chromie Time. So the Vale won’t have its original look, nor will it have its Visions of N’Zoth look/content.

Will the legendary cloak quest chain be enabled?

The original legendary cloak questline will not be available. You’ll want to reach level 70 on a Timerunner and receive the legendary cloak appearances on your Cloak of Infinite Potential to enable access to Ordos for this event as well as the rest of your WoW account.

Will there be access for players to obtain the Ashen Phoenix / Kor’Kron War Wolf mounts?

Items that were only available during the original release of Mists of Pandaria will not be available in this event. This includes the Kor’kron War Wolf, challenge mode sets, and heirlooms. On the other hand, Rare drops that are available in Dragonflight today, such as the Son of Galleon or the Astral Cloud Serpent, will drop in Remix and can be purchased by Remix characters using the Bronze currency.

Does the event only include Races that were around during Mists of Pandaria or does it include the rest of what has been added over the years, including Dracthyr?

This event includes all of the races and classes that are available in Dragonflight. Keep in mind that there is a one-Evoker-per-realm limit in Dragonflight that some players will want to plan around.

Will the scenario daily / weekly the gives the greater cache of treasures from Lorewalker Cho and the Heroic Deeds quest (which is a once per character, per account) be available (the rewards) multiple times per day, per character, per weekly lockout?

We aren’t planning to make changes to content that is available to Dragonflight characters today.

What will be completely different for Timerunners is Remix-specific loot. With some exceptions, every source of loot will drop everything that can be obtained in Remix, and the harder-to-kill enemies will have a higher chance to drop better loot. The exceptions will mostly be zone-based appearances. For example, Remix loot that drops in Throne of Thunder will have the look of ToT raid gear, and outdoor world loot will not.

Just looking for clarification. I understand that new characters will be used, and you can only do the content with players in the Remix. I am wondering if we can use our current created guilds and not have to make new ones, to allow completion of Guild achievement runs? A blue post confirming would be spectacular:)

Yes, Timerunner characters can be added to existing guilds, and we expect them to earn achievements in Pandaria just like anywhere else.

Probably the class abilities/talents/etc are going to be DF versions right and not MoP versions?

We have a big batch of class tuning coming with next week's reset! 6 classes get changes in both PvE and PvP, with Seal of Diurna's Chosen getting a big 50% nerf in PvP as well. It's all buffs on the PvE side, while the PvP changes are more of a mixed bag, so let's take a look.
      Tuning (Source)
We regularly make combat design adjustments based on gameplay data and feedback from players on class performance. With scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, we’ll make the following changes to classes that are over- and under-performing in various areas:
      Classes
Evoker Preservation All healing increased by 6%. Does not apply to PvP combat. Druid Restoration Moonfire now costs 0.3% mana (was 1.2%). Hunter Survival Survival Hunter 4-set Focus cost reduction increased to 20 (was 10). Survival Hunter 4-set damage bonus increased to 80% (was 50%). Paladin Holy Word of Glory healing increased by 15%. Does not affect PvP combat. Light of Dawn healing increased by 20%. Shaman Brimming with Life now increases maximum health by 10% (was 8%). Enhancement Chain Lighting damage increased by 10%. Flame Shock damage increased by 10%. Frost Shock damage increased by 10%. Fire Nova damage increased by 10%. Crash Lightning damage increased by 10%. Primordial Wave’s additional Lightning Bolts now deal 175% of normal damage (was 150%). Not applied to PvP combat. Warlock Fear now costs 4% of base mana (was 5%). Demonic Gateway now costs 10% of base mana (was 20%). Player versus Player
Items Seal of Diurna’s Chosen will deal 50% reduced damage in PvP combat. Demon Hunter Havoc All damage reduced by 4% in PvP combat. Demonic Wards now reduces magic damage taken by 5% in PvP combat (was 10%). Druid Balance Developers’ notes: We recently removed the PvP nerf for Frenzied Regeneration primarily to help Feral Druids, but Balance Druids got a windfall and became a little too powerful with this change. We’re pulling back on this buff specifically for Balance Druid only, so that their survivability is more in line with everyone else. Frenzied Regeneration heals for 5% health every sec (was 8%) for Balance Druid in PvP combat. Balance of All Things will now give the correct amount of critical strike chance in PvP combat when 2 talent points are invested into it. Restoration Wrath damage increased by 50% in PvP combat. Starfire damage increased by 50% in PvP combat. Moonfire damage increased by 80% in PvP combat. Hunter Marksmanship Sniper Shot’s (PvP Talent) range increase reduced to 30% (was 40%). Sniper Shot’s (PvP Talent) damage is no longer affected by Mastery: Sniper Training. Paladin Holy Flash of Light healing increased by 12% in PvP combat. Judgment damage increased by 30% in PvP combat. Hammer of Wrath damage increased by 50% in PvP combat. Holy Shock damage increased by 20% in PvP combat. Glimmer of Light damage decreased by 25% in PvP combat (was 30%). Priest Mental Agility now reduces the mana cost of Mass Dispel, Purify, and Purify Disease by 25% in PvP combat (was 50%). Holy Holy Fire’s direct damage is now reduced by 20% in PvP combat. The cooldown of Chastise is now reduced by 1 second per talent point from Voice of Harmony in PvP combat (was 2 seconds). Rogue Subtlety Rupture damage is now increased by 15% in PvP combat. Backstab damage is now increased by 45% in PvP combat (was 30%). Gloomblade damage is now increased by 45% in PvP combat (was 30%).

Theramore Tabard and Mini-Mana Bomb can now be purchased from vendors in MoP Remix.
In an unannounced hotfix that went live today, Blizzard added Theramore Tabard and Mini Mana Bomb to Horos. You can buy the items for 500 Bronze each.
Players were having issues obtaining Theramore Tabard and Mini Mana Bomb in MoP Remix because you had to complete the scenario at exactly Level 35 and dinging to Level 36 would make you ineligible to receive the rewards.
To work around the issue, Blizzard simply added both items to vendors, however, it seems players who completed the scenario did not receive the items retroactively.

The mount was available as the Traveller's Log reward back in September last year.

Add the Crusty Crawler to your collection before it skitters back to the deep blue sea on June 30, 2024. This offer requires a World of Warcraft® subscription or Game Time and is not available in World of Warcraft Classic progression games.

Just a quick reminder: there are no class restrictions on the class apparel vendor in MoP Remix!
In MoP Remix, Jakkus sells class-specific cosmetics without any class restrictions! You only need to earn two achievements to buy them. Complete the 'Landfall ' achievement to unlock ensembles for 4,000 Bronze each, and the 'Isle of Thunder' achievement to unlock weapon arsenals for 3,000 Bronze each.
When you filter by 'All' at the vendor from the dropdown, you can buy items for other classes too, since the vendor's items have no class restrictions in MoP Remix!
