The female host was very nice. The room was clean. No coffee in room. You could get a smoking or non smoking room. There were a mini fridge and microwave in my room. And the usual toiletries. A little off the beaten path. Great breakfast at Mary's very close by, so you don't have to resort to fast food.

CLEAN little two star hotel in a great location! Very basic but safe and close to the freeway. Lots of local restaurants nearby. Less than half the cost of many area hotels. Friendly staff. We will be back.

Staff is friendly, room is clean. The price is outstanding, especially if you are on a budget. Good for an overnight stay. I've stayed here before and will be a returning guest in the future.
Close to both major interstates 80 and 81. Restaurants are near by.

Attempted to stay at my old favorite motel in which the previous management treated me as a wanted guest for more than a decade. This time, there was no breakfast and the wife said there has been problems for over 2 1/2 months with guests complaining about the Internet. The wife finagled for service, but it promptly disconnected. When the husband was told, he appeared agitated and scary and suggested guests could leave if they didn't like it at 11: 30 pm. I checked out the next morning and paid extra to have Internet, breakfast and a nice, clean room with 100 TV channels at another hotel. I couldn't see the small TV from the far away bed with a few TV channels. Clothespins hold the curtain shut; e A/C is noisy and difficult to regulate. I will not be returning.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times, getting two rooms each stay. Many of the rooms are water damaged, with black mold all over the bathroom and/or bedroom ceilings. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, sometimes mold behind the peeling paper. Water stain on the ceilings. Carpet appears to have never been shampooed. The toilet continuously flushed non-stop, they had no maintenance staff and we had to shut the water off to the commode by the shut off valve in order to sleep. The room heater was full of dust, dirty filter, etc. There is no safety chain or sliding lock on the doors to the rooms! This hotel is in very poor repair. Originally, we reported this to the manangement, they said the hotel had been remodeled. Our 2nd stay the next room appeared better, they basically, just covered the mold with putting a drop ceiling over it, etc. The next stays proved absolutely terrible again. (Apparently only some rooms were given cosmetic fixes. Most have not been touched.
Our last room did not even have baseboards on the floors, just a bare gap, approximately 3 inches above the carpet before the wall started. If you like a clean, well maintained hotel in good repair, look somewhere else! I am terribly concerned about the health of staying there as mold infestation is unhealthy & there are toxic molds. Mold must be remediated correctly, not just covered. I have never seen a hotel/motel without a chain/sliding lock on the door. The management is unresponsive also.

We booked a room with a king size bed 2 days in advance. Upon arrival, the owner gave us keys for a room with 2 double beds without mentioning anything about a change in room type. When we came back to the reception after visiting our room and asked for a room with a king size bed, the owner said (very unfriendly!) that there was no other room available. The only alternative he offered was that we could get a refund and find another hotel. As this was not a realistic option at 8:30 PM, we decided to stay. We were not the only residents, as there were 2 spiders above the bed. Furthermore, there were hairs on the towels and the water coming out of the tap in the bathroom was brown. We have many good experiences with Choice hotels, but we will never go back here again. Please take this as an advice and look for alternatives!

After reading reviews, mostly positive, we decided to book a room for one night to attend our granddaughter's birthday party. On line indicated that there were no vacancies so I called the hotel directly. A woman told me that there were rooms available so I booked a NON-SMOKING room. On line listed rates of $55, she quoted me $69!
$14 wouldn't stop us from celebrating with our family. Upon arrival at our son's home, I called th Econo Lodge to ask if they wanted me to stop by and register and the problems began. A man told me the only rooms available were SMOKING rooms. When informed that we reserved a NON-SMOKING room I was told that costs $20 more!
I have a history of asthma, so a smoking room is not an option. Additionally, playing games with rates is very annoying to me.
We stayed elsewhere and will never consider booking at this business.

The man that works there is so rude. We tried checking in & gave him two chances to book us a room and leave us alone AFTER he chucked my ID at me. He charged me for a room I never stayed in. I'll be disputing the charge but don't put yourself through the nonsense. He is rude and mean and aggressive. I will never stay at econolodge again. You couldn't pay me to stay there.

Yes, it's that bad. It's old and dumpy, manager is crazy and unprofessional.

They charged my credit card twice and wouldn't refund the second charge. I'm still trying to get it sorted out.

Avoid this place at all costs.

We were on a lengthy motorcycle ride and it was getting late in the day when we happened upon this motel. The room cost us $72 for the night. If we'd have taken a look at the room, especially the bathroom, we'd have packed up and checked out right then. The bathroom floor was gross... mold in the corners, stains in the commode, just not clean and the wall covering was pealing away from the dry wall all over the place (I suspect from the excessive moisture due to lack of a vent fan in the bathroom). We were so tired we decided to stay the night anyway and then discovered the bed(s) were as hard as rocks and one of them had sand (or something like sand) in it. The entrance door to the room took super-human strength to open or close and there was no security chain on it. When morning came we didn't even avail ourselves of the free breakfast, we just packed up, checked out and vowed to (ourselves) never return there. To anyone considering staying here for the night I would advise them to take the extra time and find a nicer place. The good points about this motel... well-lit parking, good water pressure in the shower, friendly staff and the TV worked well. I have only stayed in one motel worse than this... in Buena Vista, Virginia.
