Except he doesn't hate Asian women. He's made that abundantly clear with some examples. He doesn't hate Asuka, for starters. He simply hates the stereotypical way they have protrayed her. I'm all but certain he doesn't hate Gail Kim. I'll bet money he didn't hate the Jumping Bomb Angels either.
I'm pretty sure what he hates (and I'll concede to you that he has a horrifically bad way of making his point) is the notion that Kenny has brought over a bunch of Joshi wrestlers with little to context for an American audience, expecting the acts to get over... With the reasoning being that Omega is a Weeboo (I like Kenny, but I'm pretty sure he is, sorry).
You can argue for your favorite japanese talent in AEW, Shida is one of my absolute favorites, but the fact is that Cornette isn't entirely wrong, even if his approach is. The entire women's division has been mostly bad from Day 1.
Jim doesn't hate Asian woman he just doesn't like small skinny women in wrestling like Riho, Bliss, Liv Morgan. He has praised Bull Nakano and Meiko Satomura before in the past, he just prefers older wrestling styles and believable looking wrestlers.

This is something that gets brought up a lot not only here but also in the moderator discord.
The TL;DR is that while we all agree that Cornette's hate is fucked, it's also important for people to know that he's racist and sexist and homophobic, and it's easier to keep folks informed if we DON'T do a blanket ban on the piece of shit.
It's a slippery slope, banning someone wholesale from the site. Knowing that Cornette is still spewing his hate around is, itself, newsworthy and people should have the ability to know he's still out there being a piece of shit. When, say, Hulk Hogan comes out and uses the N-word, for instance, wrestling fans who are on here SHOULD be informed. When Road Dogg goes on one of his bullshit rants, fans should know.
Even then, there are still people out there who don't know how deep his piece-of-shitness goes. Having those threads out there makes for a good reminder.
Especially if, for example, one were to go into every Cornette thread and remind folks of how racist, sexist, and homophobic Cornette can be. Maybe some sort of aggregate of links pointing out the various horrible things that Cornette has said in the past.

I'm shocked that him using Hana's death as a semi-justification for his followers harassing Riho wasn't enough to get it banned but I guess in a few months when he says something monumentally stupid and racist again we can have this debate all over again.

He's called out his fans for this behavior multiple times (see Seth rollins attacker, now this incident where he's been getting death threats himself) but at some point he has to at the very least understand that what he says is influencing a very sick portion of his fanbase who take his word as gospel. He might not tell people to go harass someone on social media but I still think there's some accountability to be had.
The problem is that he and Brian cultivate a very toxic racist, homophobic and misogynistic fanbase. They do this to make money and he honestly encourages this behavior.
Legally I don't think he should be held accountable but morally I think he should.

Cornette has never expressed any hatred for Riho. He just doesn't care for her as a wrestler. It might surprise you that when he does knock somebody that he has never had any dealings with. He will usually say something to the effect of "I don't know this person. I have never met them. I'm sure they are a nice person but as a wrestler they are the shits.". There are only a very select few people that Cornette actually hates. Even with them he doesn't encourage any violence against them.
