Keiichiro Toyama (外山 圭一郎[2] Toyama Keiichirō) is a Japanese video game developer and designer, notable for co-creating the Silent Hill, Forbidden Siren, and Gravity Rush franchises. He was an employee of Konami Digital Entertainment, serving as the director and scenario writer of the original Silent Hill. Following the game's release, Toyama and other team members stepped down from the company and joined Sony's Japan Studio, which was disbanded in April 2021. He and other former Japan Studio employees founded the independent company Bokeh Game Studio in August 2020, where Toyama expressed his desire to take advantage of his new creative freedom and return to his roots as an artist. The company is currently developing a horror-based action/adventure game, scheduled for release in 2023.
Career[]
Konami and Silent Hill[]
He joined Konami in 1994 and become graphic artist of "Snatcher" and "International Track & Field" for Sega CD. After he finished his works and he founded Team Silent and started developed first game and it's successful but he left the Konami and Team Silent as 1999 after he worked with Konami about 5 years and he joined Sony's Japan Studio.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sony's Japan Studio[]
He joined Sony's Japan Studio after left Konami as same year. He started developed horror genre named "Siren" known so "Forbidden Siren" in PAL (europe) verison and sequel until 2008 and he developed another new IP named "Gravity Rush" and It's successful and sequel to second game. He left Sony's Japan Studio when It's disbanded.
Bokeh Game Studio and future[]
He founded Bokeh Game Studio following Sony's Japan Studio has disbanded. He and his team started currently developing game named "Slitterhead".

- Toyama came up with the name "Mumbler",[3] a creature designed by Masahiro Ito.[4]
- Toyama designed the above ground floors of the Otherworld Alchemilla Hospital, while Ito designed the underground floors.[5]
- Trevor Brown, who designed inner-case artwork for the PSX edition of Silent Hill, is reportedly one of Toyama's favorite artists.[6]
