What travellers are saying
- Billie SAsheville, NC7 contributionsThe whole property is a charming time capsule of old Georgia. We loved our tour of the house. The ancient trees on the property are amazing to see.
That this huge property will remain undeveloped is a gift to nature.Written 11 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Larry H176 contributionsWhat a fantastic campground! I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Our site, 81, was a pull-thru that must have been 90 feet long (the longest site we’ve had), full hook ups, wifi (spotty at times), catv, fire pit, patio, picnic table, level, fully shaded and private. The only real negative is that you can’t pre-select your site, it is assigned. The campground is about 30 minutes to either St. Simons Island or Jekyll Island and Old Town Brunswick is 15 minutes away. . Our rate with tax was $47 per night. We will be back.Written 11 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vick FClemmons, NC50 contributionsThis is a beautiful street. Many of the homes are victorian style. A nice section to drive through. The downtown of Brunswick wasn't impressive. A few shops and eateries. There is a park on the waterfront if you walk down on the water front. Is popular with homeless also as most towns will have.Written 3 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roy CWhispering Pines, NC995 contributionsThere is little to see inside the Ritz Theatre other than some old posters and some (not much) other memorabilia. But if you are wondering around the old town, you should go in for a review of what once was the primary entertainment in the country from the 1940s to the probably early 1960s.
The theater is still used, if I understood the lady at the desk correctly, for live shows presented by young people in order to make money for disadvantaged youth.Written 20 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Its a wonderful place to soak it in and take some nice photos. It was cold so didnt see any animals.Written 10 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Leslie8 contributionsOne of my all time favorite marinas. A legend on the Great Loop. I compare every other marina to this one. Nice facilities, docks. Very clean, great camaraderie with other boaters. Always something to do.
On the down side, everytime i go there , there a a territorial, argumentative middle aged she-devil working in the front office. Petty, vindictive, not helpful, ignorant about boats and rather stupid. If she takes a dislike to you, she will assign you a slip way in the back of the marina. Everytime i go here there is a different woman, but all of them are rude. The woman working there on the weekend are wonderful. They should hire the week end woman full time.Written 29 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dnrdaviesMidland,Mi.579 contributionsWe were told by others about this courthouse while visiting Lovers Oak, so we headed that way and were not disappointed. - SFisherUnited States38 contributionsEnjoyed the historic nature of this gem. A farmers market with a variety of offerings, old three mast schooner ship( for sale), musicial instruments in a park, original Brunswick Stew pot(photo op), and genuinely nice people.
Well worth the detour. Look for the Lovers Oak and Historic Courthouse while you are in Brunswick, Ga.Written 6 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
