    I saved my friend's wifi password on my blackberry and am able to acess their network through the saved profile. I want to use the network with my laptop and my buddy has no idea what the wifi password is. Is there a way I can find out what the password is (IE : display it, because it is blacked out on my BB) to therefore use it with my laptop

    Your friend will need to log into the router setup to see the password, you can't get it off the phone.

    Ugh. Figured that was the case. The problem is that it is my inlaw's and they are clueless with technology. Thanks

    unfortunately they do. No wifi is killer. If it was a longer trip I would have to reset their router and create a new password. I made passing mention of that last night and needless to say it didn't go over well. They fear me messing up their setup (prob valid)

    When you get there just pull up the log in for the router setup and let them enter there password, then you can take a look at the pass phrase that is setup. You may get lucky and find that the router has guest partition setup that you can use.
    FYI the router setup log in has a different password from the network key or pass phrase.

    Is it U-verse? My U-verse router/modem has the crazy long wifi password printed on the unit.
