      “Come with us” is frequently passed off as “obviously not the best Chemical Brothers album”, but it is the best, by some distance. The samples and general sound lean more towards avant garde music and modern classical than to the usual hip-hop references, and, with the exception of “Denmark”, there’s much less reliance on the usual Chemicals cliché of slowly-open-the-filter-and-that’ll-do-for-a-climax. The title track sounds like big beat versus Bernard Hermann. Fantastic.

      I’m not sure how Rowlands and Simons got away with crediting “My elastic eye” to themselves and only the sample credit to Bernard Estardy; this track is pretty much a remix of Estardy’s “Tic tac nocturne”, with added production but barely any additional composition.

      The album hangs together as a sequence more coherently than any other Chemicals album. The Beth Orton collaboration is a far greater piece of songwriting and performance than “Where do I begin?”. Even Richard Ashcroft, otherwise banned from my record collection, comes up with the goods on “The test”. Oh, and Neanderthal Gallagher is absent, which is always a bonus.

      This pressing is also beautiful, and has the correct typographic layout on the front and back cover, not the bastardized version as per the 2017 represses.

          Picked this up a couple of months ago. Everything sounding great until The Test. One of my favourite Chemical Brothers tracks, and it sounds awful.
          Cleaned twice now in the Spincare, and still way off. Is it just me?

              I'm read reviews here, thrill and bought it, but not impressed me/ good as Push the Button (EU 2016 press), We are the Night (EU first press) or No Geoghraphy (EU first press). I listened on good Hi-Fi sistem as same as listen others record. Before listen vinyl, i listened on self made CD-R copy with as bonus 11 track: Come with Us (Fatboy Slim RMX) and bonus 12 track: Come with Us (H-Foundation RMX). CD is give more rich and detail than yellow vinyl. Yellow vinyl was a little bit muffed sounding. Maybe should look 180gr regular black vinyl, maybe it was same master as black vinyl IDK.
