Overall at Dr. Henry a Wise high school it’s a nice experience with a very diverse community. Some aspects of the school can be approve like to cleanliness and the security.
My overall experience at DR. Henry A. Wise high school has been an amazing experience. The teachers are dedicated, insightful, and enlightening. Each teacher has a teaching style that has kept me engaged and helped my learn new topics within the classroom. The school culture is diverse and caters to it's students. You feel like you belong to the school. They have exquisite programs ranging from business to biomedical science. Every student that enters these programs have gotten certificates and even scholarships into colleges. I truly believe Wise is a great high school to attend if you want diverse culture, quality programs, and good education. One factor I believe that Wise should work on is, investing in it's creative arts. Wise has a beautiful and talented creative arts departments, with committed students who spend their free time working and perfecting their craft.
Durning my 4 years at this school I learned allot from my teachers and peers that will help me in the future. The thing I loved the most was the roll I played on the varsity football team all years, and how I contributed to the Team which lead us to making the state championship twice during my time there. We actually won the state championship this year. There really wasn't a worst part of attending the school. What I am currently uneasy about is regarding the status of the state rings that we are all supposed to receive. It seems that there is not enough funding to get the rings.
Wise has been a good school to me. For the past three years I’ve been in the marching band with my wonderful friends and it’s given me a great experience that I feel no other school would give me. I love that part about wise.
The best part about attending Dr.Henry A Wise Jr.High School is that there are a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities that you can attend and join. There are things for everyone with different interests. There are not many things that are bad parts of my experience but the bathrooms and some of the classrooms could be cleaner and not have that much trash on the floor. I would like to see more students getting consequences for throwing trash in the halls and just outside the school. I feel like the students could change too by keeping the bathrooms more clean and sanitized. Overall my school is not a bad school and offers a lot of help with college and career as well as offers a variety of clubs and sports for those with different interests.
Dr Henry A Wise Jr High School was a wonderful school. The teachers there cared so much about their students and their education. There was many programs for students to take part of such as the Business program and even their Medical Assistant program too. The school is big and they had many classes for every student.
My experience at school is good and bad. Being there I made a friends and lost some but I learned a lot about myself. The worst parts of my experience is just some people are disrespectful but besides that everything is cool.
My experience as a parent at Wise high school has been awesome. I'm a parent of five children and work two jobs to care for my family. My son struggled his first two years while attending high school. The first year he struggled with the online learning platform and the second year of high school my kids and I was witness and victim of a home robbery. For my son Carlton he was disturb mentally but with the help of the school staff, parents and coaches he was able to overturn adversity that he has faced for years and became the Captain of the football team, helped the team win the championship, was awarded one of PG county best players. Wise high was not just a school but it was more of a family for us. They help during our trouble times from being victims to being homeless. They stepped in helping my family financially, great mentorship for my son when he really needed help. Wise is my family second family I will also respect the love and compassion that they have for their students.
Dr. Henry A Wise Jr. High School is an amazing school to go to they show you lots of love. They give you an amazing experience and a lot of clubs and things to join
My experience at Wise HS has been veery eventful. The events the school throws are very fun at times but there is a lot of drama that goes on between the students. The bathrooms are never clean and the hallways always look a mess.
I would like to see a shift from focusing on athletes and more care for regular students. If you aren't playing a sport or in a program the teachers care less for you. There are a few select teachers who every care and pay attention but not enough to make a major difference from the bias.
Overall the school is fine, the courses, the teachers, and the curriculums are ok. But the overall environment is not the best.
Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School was one of the most challenging but still the most fun high school.
The education was outstanding, giving diffident curriculum for every student and each path they wanted to take in life moving on.
The sports were the best during my years there, the football program was the best for sure, winning State Champs 3 years out of my 4 years there (‘15-‘19).
Overall, the school is what you make you it, just do your school work, pick your friends wisely, and stay out of trouble.

The best part of my experience with Wise was the flexibility of my schedule, the worst part was the students and staff. They were highly inappropriate.
The school provides various clubs and activities for me to be apart of and participate in. They also allow me to take AP classes and honors classes which I couldn't do at my old school. My worst experiences involve the staff members and the students. Examples range from fights breaking out early in the morning, counselors messing up my schedule which caused me to take classes I didn't;t need to take without my knowledge, and an encounter with a distasteful teacher. I would like to see the organization and communication change. I also want to feel like the staff actually cares about the students.
I consider Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr to be a good school to be apart of. They have a great athletic program along with a very caring staff. The only problem I’ve had really is the fighting. They tend to fight a lot in the school, but that’s not too much of a problem if you just separate yourself from those situations.
The best experience I have are with my counselors and teachers who are always willing to help me. I remember when I just got into Henry Wise high School from a different country. The teachers were very friendly and always made sure I had everything in place for all my classes. My counselors helped me get more insights about the school and graduation requirements. The students are friendly and talented as well. They have this shows which they always put up for classes to watch. However, it's a high school and like all high schools it has its pros as well as it's cons. Some students fight for the simplest things, but that is common for all schools. But, we do have security to always keep the school in order when need arises. The schools top priority is for students to learn in friendly, secured, and clean environments. So if this is what you want for your child the Dr. Henry Wise is the right place for you.
