I think that once you have listened to a release of Cerrone, you probably listened them all. The themes are recurrent, always the same: naked women, lesbians, love, sex... alleluia.
On 'X-Xex', Cerrone tells a story where he said he found a personal diary in a cab, written by an unknown woman ('I imagine her beautiful' writes Cerrone in the liner notes) and that this discovery lead to the creation of this album... wow...
Years after Disco had faded away, the disco man finds himself in a position where he had to adapt his style to the taste of the day. And so, the tracks arranged by De La Funk are Eurodance flavoured ('Yes I Like Watching' sounds just like 'Tribal Dance' by 2 Unlimited, a very big hit at the same time 'X-XEX' was released); the strings are replaced by synths; some Enigma-esque sounds effects are used to emphasize on the 'sexy' effect. But that's just too much, or not enough...
However, there is one very good track in the bonus section: the Deep Soul remix of 'Love In C Minor' really recaptures the essence of piano House and the 'Strictly Rhythm' feel of the time. But it was edited very badly and sequenced with the other remixes. No luck.
