The welterweight bangers spent the early portion of the fight battling for control in the clinch and measuring the timing and range in space. As Means came forward and started to change levels two minutes in, Medic met him with a beautiful left uppercut that stopped him in his tracks and halted the fight in a hurry.

Medic continues to maintain his 100 percent finishing rate with this stellar knockout, and gets things moving in the right direction again after suffering a submission loss last time out. The entertaining Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) grad is all action, all the time and showed that again here. | Official Scorecards

David Onama (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) defeats Jonathan Pearce by Unanimous Decision

David Onama Post-Fight Interview | UFC Fight Night: Nicolau vs Perez
/

The Factory X Muay Thai representative showed different facets of his game on Saturday, securing multiple reversals on the ground in his battle with Jonathan Pearce while landing the more impactful blows throughout. Each time Pearce got the fight to the canvas and started hunting for a submission, Onama managed to reverse into top position or clamber back to his feet, which proved to be the difference-maker in their competitive featherweight clash.

This was the first time Onama failed to secure a finish, but it was a gutsy effort and the biggest win of his career. Now 4-1 in the featherweight division, the 29-year-old continues to be a person of interest as he works his way forward in the talent-rich weight class. | Official Scorecards

Jhonata Diniz Post-Fight Interview | UFC Fight Night: Nicolau vs Perez
/

The DWCS grad spent the majority of his first round in the Octagon on the canvas, taken down and controlled by Austen Lane, with the former NFL defensive lineman closing the frame in mount. But when Lane was unable to get things to the canvas in the second, the Brazilian kickboxer started targeting his chin with powerful blows, finding the target and felling Lane midway through the second.

It was a tale of two rounds, but Diniz still came away with the result he was looking for in the end. Now 7-0 as a mixed martial artist and just two years into his MMA career, the 32-year-old is an interesting new addition to track in the heavyweight ranks. | Official Scorecards

Karine Silva (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) defeats Ariane da Silva by Unanimous Decision

Karine Silva used her superior grappling to get the better for fellow Brazilian Ariane da Silva in their highly anticipated flyweight battle on Saturday’s main card.

Karine Silva Octagon Interview | UFC Fight Night: Nicolau vs Perez
/

The streaking Contender Series graduate was able to drag da Silva to the canvas in each round, advancing positions and hunting for submissions in all three frames. While she wasn’t able to find a finish at any point, Silva was able to largely shut down the striking of her compatriot and dictate the terms of engagement throughout.

All three judges scored the fight for Silva, who moved to 4-0 in the UFC and extended her overall winning streak to nine with the victory. Already stationed in the Top 15, the 30-year-old “Killer” should merit another step up in competition after this one. | Official Scorecards

Bogdan Guskov Post-Fight Interview | UFC Fight Night: Nicolau vs Perez
/

After getting out-wrestled throughout the first, Guskov buzzed Spann with a couple heavy right hands as they traded in space in the second. While the Fortis MMA man initially recovered, Guskov refused to let him off the hook, finding a home for another thunderous shot that turned Spann’s legs to rubber and kicked off the finishing sequence.

That’s now two stoppage wins this year for Guskov after dispatching Zac Pauga in February. The 31-year-old from Uzbekistan moved to 16-3 with the victory, establishing himself as someone to keep close tabs on going forward in the light heavyweight division. | Official Scorecards

Alex Perez Post-Fight Interview | UFC Fight Night: Nicolau vs Perez
/

Perez looked sharp from the start, throwing in combination and pressing the action as Nicolau searched for perfect shots and circled out. Both men opened up a little more early in the second, and with Nicolau strafing away on the fence, Perez cracked him with a right hook that twisted him to the canvas in a heap.

The veteran dealt with multiple injuries and opponent issues over the last few years, dropping three straight contests ahead of this one. On Saturday night, he reminded everyone that he’s still one of the best flyweights in the world by shutting out Nicolau’s lights to close out the show. | Official Scorecards
