Paul M. Carroll Sr.

 Paul M. Carroll Sr.Paul M. Carroll Sr. a lifelong resident of Malden passed away on Wed Feb 4th with his loving family by his side.  Paul was born in 1939 the son of Bernard and Helen (Shinney) Carroll.  After completing his education Paul enlisted in the US Airforce.  He enlisted in 1957  and was discharged honorably in 1960.  Paul returned to Malden and soon married his sweetheart Margaret A. McKenna.  They settled down in Malden to raise their family. They shared 10 years together until Margaret's untimely passing in 1971.   Paul was active Mason who was a loyal member of the Fidelity Lodge of Melrose and the Grand Lodge of Boston.  Over the years he served as the Secretary of the Fidelity Lodge the Right Worshipful Master of the Grand Lodge and the District Deputy Master o f the 4th District.  Paul traveled the world representing the Lodges including recently traveling to Japan Cuba and Panama. In the early 1970's Paul founded a security company Sentinel Alarm Company.  After 7 years the company was growing and became the Central Signal Corporation.  As his business grew to multiple locations he  actively ran the operations  and had  yet to retire. He is survived by his children  Paul M. Carroll Jr. of Malden Thomas A. Carroll of Dover NH Linda Ellman-Cochran of Georgetown Janette Carroll of Stratham NH and David Carroll of Malden his siblings Helen DiMuzio of Leominster Jean Tenerello of FL Margaret Wilson of Danvers and his grandsons  of Cameron McKenna Samantha Derrick and Jacob.He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. (McKenna)  his parents Bernard and Helen (Shinney) Carroll and his brother  Bernard Carroll. Funeral Services will be held from the Weir - MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St Malden MA on Wednesday February 11th at 10AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church Malden at 11AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday. Feb 10thfrom 4 - 8 PM. Interment to be private newspaper notice below:Carroll Paul M.
