This is the best album of country music this year along with Sturgill Simpson. There isn't even anything else close. I played it through to the end, played it again and wake up every morning with a different song playing in my mind. Lee Ann 's voice, the song selection, the production, this is what keeps my radio turned off. Every artist has that event when it all comes together, this is it for Ms. Womack.. But then again.........maybe she can raise the bar again?

Lee Ann Womack's "The Way I'm Livin'" turns toward traditional country arrangements on this Sugar Hill Records release. Julie Miller's lovely "Don't Listen to the Wind" is a jewel with Hank Singer's mandolin giving the track energy and Buddy Miller in the background chorus, "I know you want to marry me, but another man won't let me; I'm a fool to trade a boy like you for a memory that won't be true." The melody of Neil Young's lovely "Out on the Weekend" shines here as Lee Ann caresses the vocals, "He got pictures on the wall that make me look up from his big brass bed; Now I'm running down the road trying to stay up somewhere in his head." Other tracks like "All His Saints," "Chances Are" & "Tomorrow Night in Baltimore" are also strong. Enjoy!

"Chances Are" should be #1 on the country singles chart for multiple weeks. It is phenomenal. We've waited years for this and Lee Ann did not disappoint.
