I'm excited about my trip to Tokyo. I'm at Tokyo Disneyland for 3 days on business. I'll then take a cab into Tokyo. Is Shinjuku area safe and a central area to stay. I want to stay close to the Love statue in a medium price lodging. Do you recommend any Viator or Be Your Guide tours or local tours? Yes, I want to do all the touristy things. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Check Rose Garden Hotel. It is just above Nishi Shinjuku Station.

Hope I can see lots of Tokyo's famous sites during my stay. I have another question if you don't mind answering it. I'm thinking about taking the Bullet train to Kyoto (2 1/2 hours) and try to see all I can in Kyoto in 1 day and returning that evening. Do you know if they have "Free Guides" in Kyoto too? Thanks in advance if you can advise me.
