Regular Events

Ripon Market Days are Thursday and Saturday.

Every night at 9 o’clock, all year round, the Ripon Hornblower Sets The Night Watch  at the four corners of the obelisk in the Market Square.

Every week Waste Not Wednesday at Ripon Community House. 12.00pm – 2.00pm. A selection of low cost and healthy and delicious meals freshly made each week.

Every week, Friday Night Live Music – The Ripon Inn – 8.30 pm

Every Week on Wednesday – Ripon Food Tour – Market Square (pre-book essential)

Every 2 weeks – Open Mic Night at So! Bar & Eats

Ripon Together January 2024 update.

Walk to School Event. Walk to School Days take place once every half-term, although many schools promote good transport habits on a daily and weekly basis, to improve air quality, reduce congestion and improve pupil health and wellbeing. The next walk to school event is planned for 2^nd February. 

Pancake Race. Work is ongoing on organising the Pancake Race for Shrove Tuesday on 13^th February.  Pancake Day races, have become a much-loved and long-established tradition. They are organised by the Rotary Club of Ripon Rowels. The event starts at 11am outside the Cathedral, as the Lent bell begins to ring.

Historical Map of Ripon. Details on the historical map of Ripon have been sent to the cartographer and we are looking at a late spring / early summer launch date. 

Summer Funfest. Plans for the summer funfest in 2024 are already well underway for week commencing Mon 19^th Aug. This has been aided by funds already being received from Cllr Andrew Williams locality budget and the Jepson Trust, both of which are gratefully received.
