For those who have not been made aware as of January 22nd, POF and MeetMe will be 2 seperate streaming platforms and will no longer have joined streams. Meaning that if you are on MeetMe and you have a favorite streamer on POF, you will no longer be able to see the POF user's stream on the MeetMe site, you would need to make a POF account to see. There is very little information out as of right now, it has been said by most that POF is currently renting space and servers at MeetMe and they will be branching off into their own server space. POF will be matching the MeetMe accounts for those that wish to jump ship from MeetMe to POF, the reverse has not been confirmed as of yet. POF will be joining other platforms like BLK and Chispa while MeetMe will be joining in with other social media platforms as well (None confirmed).
There have been no talks of any wrongs being committed from one platform to the other, but this could very well be because of contracts that are currently in place. While there are still a lot of uncertainties, admins and top badges on both platforms remain positive that the change will benefit both companies.

Exactly the app is just looking for the best way it can make the most money as possible and monetize the best way possible . Originally that was the goal to meet a lover or a one night stand but now it’s basically commercialized and a atm machine for the owners running the apps lol

I was being a bit flagrant, not literal. The point is, this site was NEVER about streaming, that was something that developed recently out of greedy business decisions.
Edit: you really must be very naïve. If you knew the site you would know that many people list they are looking for “something casual.” Besides, I have seen many people list that they are exactly looking for sex particularly the endless number of “DL Goat-throat headhunters,” (how can all somehow be the GOAT?). Among female users, I distinctly remember a woman who used to post pictures of her wet dripping vijayjay on the site in the DFW area circa 2010 or so before AI filters were very somewhat sophisticated. I’ll not deny that at the time I avidly sought her attentions, sadly it was not granted as she was very likely seeking BBC.

The people that are so mad at it are only jealous because they dont have the either the good looks, the personality or entertainment value to make a living doing it. I wish i had at least one of those....it does suck that the good ones get probably less than half of what is gifted to them though. My one draw back to not being a huge supporter.
I don't know how pof does it but I know MeetMe took 80% of what streamers get so to make a living off it they have to get gifted alot and heavy
I think they're pretty similar. The higher rated top badges and such do a lil better. One woman told me she has to cash in 400k diamonds to earn $1,000 cash. So in that case I think to buy 400k that would cost around $1,600. So she's getting over half, much better than a lot of others.
I have never used the streaming process on POF, for watching others or streaming myself, and have no interest in it, so no skin off my nose, lol..

There has been a lot that has been messing up on the POF streams since this last week when it was announced. I am assuming it has to do with the overall migration, and they won't start fixing any of it until the migration has completed.
I never watched any streamers anyways, just another way for people to get attention and other thirsty people commenting to them. If it's not a fake profile I come across its someone who is streaming or watching someone else and have no interest in messaging you

You can reach out to an admin on the POF side and they can help out. There's a support email, but it seems like the admin's insta is a bit more responsive. Janet_POF_Liveadmin is who I've been seeing as very helpful. That's her insta.
If you’ve spent any time with the streamers, you realize most of them are terrible people. There are people like Alexa, who will yell at you for not gifting the moment you join. Most of them come off as online beggars that do nothing that warrants supporting.
You have not found the right streams, my guy. I have found some awesome people through them. Every platform has their shit heads, and yea, a lot of them love their alexa, but i have never seen anyone yell at you for not instantly gifting or not even choosing to gift.
That's why I said most, it took some time to find a decent little community to chill with but I can imagine the bulk will chase people away from participating with their antics/attitudes.

Top badges and the admin team for POF and MeetMe. I have been going around and asking questions to them trying to get as much info as i can on both the MeetMe and POF side.
Idk... I keep hearing talk of pof deleting their entire streaming side... Then there was one top badge guy that was saying he had a preview of the new gifts on the pof side... I recently found out pof has been using meetme's platform so when they split, meet me is supposed to be taking their gifts with them as well .. all this split/separation talk is very stressful to me.. so lately I've been considering switching over to meet me .. because I would HATE to log on one day and I get a message or a email from pof saying they officially decided to end the streaming services .. so that's what im in heavy deliberation about...but the more I find out, I'll keep anyone who wants to know posted
POF simply leased MeetMe's LiveBox services and their lease is up. Just like leasing a car, time for a new one. Meetme IS and will ALWAYS be just a social media streaming site that leases out to other apps. This will be funny as hell if POF drops streaming like they used to be, just another ordinary "dating" site.
At this point POF needs to keep LIVE streaming platform for it to not be a next to useless bot ridden dead dating app. Removing steaming could be a death sentence, but if they don’t have the resources to moderate the content, they just might do it to avoid being sued and/or shutdown via bankruptcy.

I spent from the lockdown in March or April of 2020 to January 2024 on these apps, mostly as a troll. Had good times, it was entertaining but too time consuming. Bunch of fakes and alpha men and women sprinkled with some genuine people. I had to unfriend all the friends I made on there on my TikTok so I wouldn’t be tempted to go back to streaming. What an addiction lol. Was fun while it lasted. These apps are gonna lose a lot of people because of this separation.
That thing is full of simps, sending these women money in hopes that get noticed. Now these females rather sit at home and do nothing else but go on live and ask ppl for money.
