Mission Statement
The Mission of the Canton Main Street Program is to implement Downtown Revitalization under the Main Street 4 Point Approach; Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Restructuring all within the context of Historic Preservation.

The Canton Main Street program sees Historic Downtown Canton as the heart of the community where social, economic and civic activities generate a welcoming environment in which local citizens and visitors can live, work, shop and play.

The Canton Main Street program was established in 2010 to enhance the quality of life for the Canton residents. With a heart for historic preservation and an eye on the future, Georgia's Canton is building an economy for the next generation while restoring buildings from past generations. In the last two years, over 300,000 square feet of historic buildings have been restored including former schools, a textile mill, and the historic Jones Mercantile in the heart of Downtown.
Canton has made a name for itself with exciting and new possibilities for growth within an authentic, inviting community that deeply cares about the City's future and unrivaled quality of life. Georgia Trend Magazine recently recognized Canton as one of the 2019 'LIVE, WORK, PLAY' Communities.
Conveniently located between Atlanta and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cherokee is the fastest growing county in Georgia. For that reason, Canton is adding over 400 new homes each year and working to connect downtown with the Etowah River through aggressive trails plans, infrastructure improvements, and a passion for Placemaking.

Directions
From the North
Take I-575 South. Take Exit 20/Canton/Riverstone Pkwy, bear Right on Riverstone Pkwy. (GA-5). Turn Left on Waleska St., continue on W. Main St. Arrive at Cannon Park on the Left.
From the South
Take I-575 North to Canton. Take Exit 16 and merge to right hand lane, turn Left on Highway 140. Turn Right onto Marietta St. at light, pass through E. Marietta St. at four-way stop, continue on S. Church St. Arrive at Cannon Park straight ahead.
From the East
Take GA-20 West, continue on Cumming Hwy. Continue on E. Main St. Continue on North St. Arrive at Cannon Park on the Left.
From the West
Take GA-20 East, turn Left on Marietta Hwy. Continue on Riverstone Pkwy. (GA-140). Turn Right on Waleska St. Continue on W. Main St. Arrive at Cannon Park on the Left.
