Years ago, I had the DVD version and the problem with it was that it was not an anamorphic video. Hence, the picture was inferior and on some sets, you could not expand the frame to fill out a 1.85 ratio TV screen.
This reissue fixes that problem, and the video is excellent. The show is a comedy/drama item, and there is a good balance there, with a light touch toning down the rough stuff. The cast is excellent.
Remastered or not, this is a 1994 production, and while the remastering for Atmos fills out all eleven channels (7.1.4) in my AV system, the net result is probably no better than what I would get with a 7.1 disc given the DTS Neural-X treatment by the circuitry in my receiver. Nevertheless, the envelopment was good. One final point on audio. While this soundtrack had impressive bass punch in 1994, by modern standards that punch is not all that impressive. I converted it to impressive by switching in my dbx 120A subharmonic bass synthesizer, and the result was occasional bass PUNCH that brought the results into the modern age. Indeed, my four subwoofers had a good time with the results.
Good movie - this one, made even more fun with the assistance of my dbx device.

True Lies and Aliens
I am a huge Cameron and Schwarzenegger fan and True Lies is one of my all-time favourite movies. I've been waiting for official HD discs for over 2 decades and to finally get it is a welcome bonus.Was the wait worth it? To me, a resounding yes! The picture and audio have enough improvement to justify an upgrade or purchase for myself.The cases not only looks flimsy, they feel super flimsy too. Aliens and The Abyss has 2 of their 3 discs stacked on top of each other, which is a no-no.All though the included documentary with True Lies is excellent, I would have loved more content and a director’s commentary would have been awesome.For what is on the discs, however, is good to excellent.

La imagen es una gran mejora desde el blu-ray convencional, ganado enteros en nitidez y saturación del color, pero se nota el efecto DNR en la imagen, por lo que tiene el mismo efecto que T2.
El audio en inglés Dolby Atmos es soberbio y muy poderoso, sin afectar en ningún momento la intensidad y claridad de los diálogos. También trae audio en español latino clásico Dolby Digital 5.1, así como subtítulos en ambos idiomas y más.
