Day trips from Zadar

We will be in Zadar for three days at the end of this month. We would like to take day trips for two of the days. I’ve been researching it and Nin and Preko both seem interesting places to visit. I would appreciate any feedback about these destinations as well as any other places we could visit without a car or a long boat ride as I’m prone to sea sickness. Thanks so much!

Have you considered Telascica national park on Dugi otok? Breath, takingly beautiful.

Only a short boat ride away, you'll need to be on an excursion, not really doable on foot from the ferry ports.

How about an organized day trip to Krka Falls?

Telascica and Dugi Otok are not a short boat ride from Zadar. Far from it.

Nin doesn't need a day.

Krka NP is a good idea. You can catch a bus to Skradin and back after you finish. Allow all day there. If you only spend a few hours and don't do the optional boat tour to Visovac at least, you might walk away disappointed. If you need more info, please don't hesitate to ask.

Visit Sibenik. It is a very charming old city.

You could do Plitvice, but don't do it on weekend. Again, catch a bus there and back. Allow about 6 hours at Plitvice.

If you need mor help, just ask. I know the whole area like the back of my hand.

Just adding.

You could even visit Split as a day trip, if you haven't been there before.

Cheers

BTW, Preko doesn't need more than an hour either. So, you could do Preko and Nin in one day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

You might check out Biograd na Moru as well.
